Gibbs came and didn't go to Kat, but went straight to Tony. McGee had taken one car and taken the alive man to the police. Kat watched them talk for a few minutes. Gibbs looked back at Kat, and then back at Tony.

Kat looked at bishop in the front seat. She was scared.

What's going to happen to me now? That guy is dead... He would've been awake by now, she thought.

Gibbs came and got into the car. He glanced over at bishop, giving a message she understood. Don't ask any questions. Gibbs drove to Tony's place and picked up Sky from Palmer and went to NCIS next. Tony was already there.

They walked around the corner to the bullpen. As soon as Kat saw Tony. She changed. She stopped talking and walking and just stared at Tony. Gibbs said something to her, but she didn't budge.

Gibbs raised his voice. "Hey!" That got her attention but she didn't stop staring at Tony. "You're coming with me."

He walked her past the bullpen and to the interrogation room, since the conference room was being used. Kat walked in quickly and paced. Gibbs walked in and closed the door. "What the heck, Kat??? Tell me what is going on."

Kat sat at the desk, looking away. Gibbs walked up next to her. "Kat..."

Kat stared at the ground. "Go away!"

"I can't do that... I need you to tell me what's going on first."

"I don't care."

"Kat! I am trying to be cooperative but I need you to talk to me!"

Kat stood and turned around. "Well, what if I don't want to talk to you?! You haven't really been there for me at all my whole life. Even the last year. You're always just there but not really supportive. You STILL hate Jacob. I'm your own daughter and yet you hate me!"

Gibbs got all up in her face. "Don't EVER say that I hate you... EVER. At the moment, I am not concerned about Jacob. I am concerned in protecting you. That's all i've ever been concerned in. You. Protecting you. Making sure you are happy... Kat, what you don't realize is, it's not hatred that you sense... It's love..."

A silence fell over the room. The tension in the air was so thick. Kat stared at her father who stood before her. Gibbs stared back with the same look. He finally broke the silence. "Kat... If you don't talk to me, it will have to be an investigation that I will not be running. It's me or a stranger."

Kat didn't even consider it. "I'm NOT talking to you! Can't you see that?? I've said it multiple times but you're too self absorbed that you only want to happen what you want!"

Gibbs exaggeratedly rolled his eyes and stormed out. He slammed the door behind him, locking it. He must've known that the first thing Kat would try to do is run because when she tried to leave, it was locked, of course.

Gibbs went straight up to Jenny's office. After explaining everything, Jenny leaned her heads into her hands. She sighed, "Jethro... you know this has to be an open investigation and you can't lead it."

Gibbs nodded. "I know that, Jen... But you know we can't let Fornell do it this time. We both know he is also too involved... But you also know that she won't talk to just anyone. She won't talk to me... Definitely not to DiNozzo... Maybe, MAYBE, McGee. I don't see the problem with Abby either. But any stranger for sure she won't talk to."

Jenny squinted. "You don't know that..."

"Well what do you want to do, Jen? Throw a random agent in there to interrogate her and see what happens?"
