Chapter 4 - The Group

     Aphmau's POV

     I'm so excited that I crossed paths with Garroth! On my first day, when no one would talk to me, he said something. I mean, usually I'm not startled by that, but he's so nice. I really hope his friends are just like him, or better! Squee!

     Garroth's POV

     I eventually caught up with Aphmau. Wow, she sure is energetic for this being her first day here. I mean, especially since this is our third year in high school. And it's her first year here.

     "Haha! Hey! Don't run off like that! I don't want to seem slow to my friends, since they'll probably already tease me enough for thinking you're my girlfriend or something!" He laughed.

     "Oh don't worry about them. Worry about every kid who knows you who believes I'm your girlfriend!" She retorted, laughing as well. "Oh yeeeaaah... that too... Haha!"

     3rd Person POV

     Once they were done messing around, Aphmau and Garroth made it to the table.

     "Hey Garroth! Why'd you bring a girl to your table? Is she your girlfriend? Ooh playa!"
     Garroth blushed. Hmm..."She's not my girlfriend Laurence, her name is Aphmau and this is her first day here. Not my girlfriend."

     Laurence smiled. "Well nice to meet you, Garroth's girlfr-"
     "Not. My. Girlfriend Laurence! You're just teasing her now. You haven't even introduced yourself to her!"

     "Oh, my bad sire! I shall introduce myself to this fine lady over here."

     "Oh cut the crap Laurence!" Garroth chuckled.

     Aphmau laughed. High school boys... hilarious to watch. Laurence extended out his hand. "Hey, I'm Laurence, the most amazing, spectacular, cool, awesome, etcetera, guy you will ever meet!" He started laughing. "Haha! But in all seriousness, nice to meet you Aphmau. Welcome to Phoenix Drop High!"

Aphmau's POV

Laurence seems really cool! But his other friends are kinda just... Staring. Creepy. Maybe they're just shy?

I put on a smile. "Nice to meet you Laurence, as you know, I'm Aphmau. The cute, amazing, awesome, cheery, hawt girl." We both laughed.

I looked at the three other boys and three girls at the table. "Hi! Who are you guys? Don't worry, I don't bite!" I laughed.

A boy with sapphire colored hair extended out his hand. "Hi! I'm Dante! Sorry for seeming really shy, Laurence hates it when people," he squinted his eyes at Laurence dramatically,"steal his thunder." Everyone started laughing. Laurence play punched him in the arm. "It's nice to meet you Dante! Nice hair, too!" I said between chuckles. His hair was pretty cool, though.

Another one of the boys with icy blue eyes like Garroth's and jet black hair waved. "Hi, my name is Zane. I'm Garroth's little brother. By months. I'm not a grade lower or anything.

Months!" He smiled. Garroth laughed. "We get it bro! You're so salty about that, it funny!"

A girl with a bold red hair waved also. "Hi! I'm Kiki! Don't mind my boyfriend Zane, he's a really awesome guy when you get to know him. You seem like a great addition to our circle of friends, heck, you already fit in!"

Aww! That's so sweet! "Thanks, Kiki! That really means a lot!" I meant it too. It felt good to be accepted here.

A boy with blond hair had one hand around a girl with brown hair, and another extending out to me. "Hi, I'm Logan, and this is my girlfriend, Donna. It's very nice to meet you, Aphmau." I shook his hand. "Nice to meet you, too, Logan. And you as well, Donna."

"Nice to meet you too Aphmau. It'll be fun to have a new addition to the group."

Laurence gave a big dramatic sigh. "Can we cut the formalities and eat already? I'm starving!"
