Aphmau's POV

It was three weeks from that race me and Laurence had. I kinda feel bad for him for losing to a girl, but at the same time girl power! And girls can be better than guys, haha!

Me and Laurence have been walking to and from school together, alongside with having practically all the same classes. I mean, in terms of friendship, I think we're pretty close.

"Hey Aph! Ready to walk to school?"
Oh! It was Laurence. Gosh, he snuck up on me.

"Gaah!!! Oh, whew... Laurence you scared me there, haha!" I mock punched him in the shoulder. Laurence's expression turned very serious. Did I do something wrong.

"Umm... Laurence? Did I...?" My voice trailed off. Is he okay? Did I hurt him?

The corners of his mouth started to lift up, but fell back down as if they were being forced to. "Aph, you shwouldn't be a buwwy. Buwwying is bad." He snickered.

Laurence's POV

I got her this time! She started laughing. "Oh my gosh Laurence! You're such a jerk, haha! But I'm vewwy Sowwy fwor being a buwwy. I pwomise not to do it ever again." She stuck out her hand." Twuce?"

I played along. "Twuce!" We shook hands and laughed at the same time.

"Are you ready now that we've played make-believe?" She nodded yes. "I'm ready cap'n! Let's set sail!"

Garroth's POV

I saw Laurence and Aph playing around with each other a few streets ahead. Gosh, they'd make a cute couple, but... I don't know why I feel so jealous sometimes. Maybe it's because I met her first or something... but I honestly don't know.

"Hey, Garroth, haven't seen you and your girlfriend together in a bit. Did you two break up or something?" Ugh! Not now Pete...

"Pete, leave me alone, please. Now isn't the time to deal with your crap." Can he just leave now? Please?

"Aww, but you know I can't do that, now, can I? Unless you're too sad to get upset at me because you broke up with her. Boo-hoo." His expression turned sympathetic and sad, but he isn't gonna
fool me today.

"Pete I know you're faking. Can you just stop, please? I already asked you to leave." I looked down at my watch. Oh no! It's five minutes until school starts! I can get to school in ten minutes if I run...

One of Pete's buddies spoke up. "Ooh, Garroth is a big boy now. Does he not need his mommy anymore?" They both laughed. That joke wasn't even funny.

Pete grinned. "Since Garroth is such a big boy, I bet he doesn't need anyone to help him."

I was afraid to ask this question. "To help me what...?" Pete just started laughing again. His buddy stayed silent, but was grinning. "Why, to help you get away from me, of course!"

All of a sudden, they started walking towards me, then pushing me towards an alleyway. Crap! Think fast, think fast.

"See, the thing about me and you is that, well, we both dislike each other. But no matter how much you may hate me, I will always hate you more. Why is that, you ask? Well, it's simple, actually. You hurt my sister." His eyebrows were arched down, and his face was frowning.

"I-I didn't mean to hurt her! Things just...happen! I didn't think that she was going to do...what she did! I stuttered. Pete's frown got deeper. "Sorry, but not good enough. You're gonna have to pay for my sisters death. She committed suicide because of you!" He yelled.

The next few thing happened in slow motion. Petes arm drew back, Aph and Laurence just ran into the alleyway, and then I got knocked unconscious.
