Chapter 11 - The Dance

     Garroth's POV

     I walked up to Laurence. I know we've been friends forever, but I was still nervous asking him if it was okay to ask his sister out when I already did. What if he says no? What if I have to tell Cadenza we can't go to the dance together?
     I pushed those thoughts aside as I reached him. "Hey, Laurence!" I said in the most convincing cheery voice I could make up. His head swiveled over to me. "Oh, hey Garroth! What's up?"
You can do this, I told myself. "Laurence, I wanted to ask you something." I said nervously.
"Okay, what's up?" His face turned serious. Here we go. "I was just wondering, y'know, since the dance is coming up in, like, three days, if I could maybe...ask Cadenza out? I mean, if it's fine by you. If not, I understand." I looked at him.
     He just stared at me, looking like he was deep in thought. A minute passed, when he finally spoke. "I mean, if you're up for it, then yes, you can take her to the dance." Yes!
     "Thanks, Laurence. I just wanted to make sure you were okay with it, since we're best friends and all. I didn't want to ruin any friendship." He smiled in return. "Just remember to take care of my sister. I trust you, just not anyone else."

     Night Of The Dance

     Aphmau's POV

     "Aaand... all ready!" I said as I slipped a grass skirt over my white shirts. I stared into the mirror. I had my hair in a ponytail, with a purple crop-top, and a grass skirt over some white shorts.
Ring! Ring! My phone buzzed. It was Garroth. I picked it up.
     (A= Aphmau    G= Garroth)

     A: Hey , Garroth!
     G: 'Sup! Hey - I just wanted to let you know we're having a sleepover at my place. Laurence, Logan, Donna, Kiki, Zane, Cadenza, Nicole, and Dante are all sleeping over.
     A: That's cool!
     G: Wanna come? - if it's fine by your parents.
     A: Yeah! My parents won't mind.
     G: 'Kay. See you in a bit.

     "Mom! Dad! Garroth is hosting a sleepover! Everyone you guys know is coming. Is it fine if I go?" I yelled downstairs.
     "Uhh, yeah sure sweetie!" It was my mom. "Just no sleeping with boys!"
     I laughed. "I'm not planning to, mom!" I came downstairs.
     "Have a good time, sweetie." She hugged me tight. "Oh - you need to pack your bags for a sleepover!" She rushed to my room, then ran back down only to put them in a large bag.
I sighed. Moms...
"Have a good night, okay?" She smiled at me. "OK mom. Love you!" I said as I walked out the door. Now time to go to the dance.

At The Dance...

Garroth's POV

Music blared through the auditorium as I walked up to the school. When I went inside, it was even louder. "Hey Garroth!" I heard a shout. I turned around and saw Dante, Logan, and Donna. "Hey guys! Have you seen Cadenza or Aphmau?" I yelled over the music. They all shook their heads. "Aph says that she'll be here in a few minutes! I'm just eating chips n' stuff until she arrives!" He said. I laughed. Typical Laurence. "Wanna eat?" He asked me. I didn't have dinner, so I was starving.
     There was a chocolate fountain with strawberries being dipped in it ever second. Next to that was several different bowls of chips. Ooh! Sour Cream and Onion! I dug in.
     "Typical teenage boys! I knew we'd find you here!" I turned around and saw Aphmau wearing a purple crop-top and a grass skirt next to Cadenza who was also wearing a grass skirt with a white crop-top. They both looked stunning.

Aphmaus's POV

     We walked in and found Garroth and Laurence dipping strawberries in the chocolate fountain, then munching on chips. "Typical teenage boys! I knew we'd find you here!" I yelled over the music.
"You girls decided to match up! Cool!" Laurence came from behind. He was wearing a blue tank top with white cargo shorts. Ooh! He even has a purple lei on! My favorite color!
Garroth was wearing a red shirt with white flowers on it, and navy blue cargo shorts.
"Nice outfits! You two have the same shorts, but not as matching as us!" Cadenza smirked. "Which means we're cooler than you guys!" Laurence laughed. "Nice try, but just because you're jealous of our coolness doesn't mean you can say you're cool. 'Kay? 'Kay."
     Garroth laughed, along with the rest of us. "Enough talk, let's dance!"

So yeah, yeah, blah blah blah I know I'm posting this on a weekday, but that DOESN'T mean that I'm now posting on weekdays. I might do it on several occasions, but rarely because I'm in school. Maybe on holidays and stuff. It'll be random.
But I hope you guys enjoyed the story! A sleepover ooh! But don't worry, you dirty readers, Aph's mom said no sleeping with boys! So we're all good. Kay? Kay.
