Camila woke up the next morning in a relatively happy mood. She had an amazing evening, and she couldn't deny that the green eyed beauty did things to her physically that no one else could. The brunette took the time to stretch her limbs. Finishing her stretch, she noticed an absence. Lauren was gone. "What the hell? When did she leave?" The woman grumbled. Camila reached over to her bed side table and grabbed her phone, checking to see if there were any notifications.

Much to her dismay, there were no messages from Lauren. Reluctantly, she rolled out of bed, threw on an oversized t-shirt and wandered into the kitchen in hopes of Lauren leaving a note there. Disappointment immediately set in when she found nothing. "Goddamn it! Why do I always do this to myself?" She yelled, slamming her fist on the counter. Lauren treated her terribly, yet she was still drawn to her. Addicted, as if she were some kind of drug.

The mood she woke up in had dissipated by now. Camila shuffled back into her bedroom, closed the door, climbed back into her bed and made herself comfortable. It was a good thing she had the day off today because there was no way she's getting out of bed for the remainder of the day. Not even to eat. As if she had an appetite anyway. She was slipping into unconsciousness when her phone vibrated on the table beside her, causing the brunette's eyes to snap open.

Expecting it to be Lauren, she didn't even attempt to pick up her phone. In all honesty, she was furious with Lauren. The green eyed woman always made Camila feel horrible, but incredible at the same time. It was terribly conflicting. Her phone vibrated once more. Sighing, she rolled over to take hold of the annoying device. Glancing at the screen, she noticed the incoming messages were from Dinah. Camila hadn't heard from her former best friend in years.

Dinah:

Hey Mila! It's been a while!

7:09AM

Dinah:

I'm in town this week and I wanted to see if you wanted to grab lunch or something?

7:11AM

Camila:

Wow, Dinah! I haven't heard from you in ages. I'd love to catch up. Whatever time works best for you.

7:14AM

Dinah:

Hmm. I should be available after 12:30? So let's shoot for 1?

7:15AM

Camila:

Perfect. I want pizza.

7:15AM

Dinah:

Of course you do. Pagliacci on Mercer St. at 1.

7:17AM

Camila:

See you there DJ.

7:20AM

It was strange hearing from Dinah after all these years. Once they graduated high school she took off to California to pursue her dream of being successful in the entertainment industry. Last Camila heard, she was in the running to be a voice actress for some new Disney film. Although Camila really just wanted to lie in bed all day, it was a pleasant surprise to hear from the younger girl and she was longing for some sort of companionship today to keep her mind off her troubles.

For the rest of the morning Camila remained in bed. When it came close to the time she was supposed to meet Dinah, she hopped out of bed, began brewing some coffee, and slid into the shower. The warm stream of water helped relieve the tension she'd been feeling that morning. Ten minutes later, she toweled off and began her morning routine. Camila didn't really feel like putting much effort into her appearance, so she dressed herself in jeans, an oversized knit sweater, white Converse and threw her hair up into a messy bun.
