Chapter 1; Where it all began

Chapter 1

Holly’s P.O.V

I am really happy with my life and what I have become, yeah I’ve had a few rough patches here and there but so has everyone else. My Parents left me in the desert when I was 9, and they just left me there to die, they said they couldn’t handle having a child anymore. So I was in the desert for a few days, but one day I woke up being carried by a person with a Black Beard, sunglasses and a Bandana on his head who I later learned was Doctor Death Defying. He took me to Killjoy HQ and asked me who I was and Why I was here, I told him I was Holly and I didn’t know my second name, and that my parents had left me there. He told me he would look after me and that he would make me a Killjoy. My Parents had told me about the Killjoys, they said they were bad people that would stop at nothing to kill me, but they were wrong they seemed like really nice people that wouldn’t hurt anything unless it endangered them. Dr Death Defying took me into a room; I saw 4 boys around my age playing hide and seek. Dr Death Defying told them I would be their new friend and that they had to look after me, they agreed.

-Flashback-

“Heey, I’m Gerard. Whats your name?” Gerard said with a Smile, “I’m Holly, Are you guys killjoys?” I asked curiously. “Not Yet, we will be when we grow up though. My Name is Ray, its nice to meet you.” “Nice to meet you too, Ray.” I blushed. “Im Mikey, Gerard’s Younger Brother.” “Oh Heey, I thought you two looked similar.” I smiled. There was one more boy that hadn’t introduced himself yet, he was just looking at the ground. “Frank? Are you gonna come and say Hi to our new friend Holly?” asked Gerard looking at him. Frank looked up slightly “Hi Holly, I’m Frank.” And he quickly looked back down. He looked so cute when he was embarrassed. “Sorry about him, he gets nervous around new people.” Ray said, “Aw, it’s okay I’m the same.”

We all talked to eachother for a while, learning more about eachother and finding that when we reached the age of 14 we would begin training to become killjoys. “So what do you guys want to do?” asked Mikey. “Well what do you guys do for fun around here?” I asked. “Well we could always go ask Dr D what we can do?” said Ray. “Yeaah let’s do that,” said Gerard.

-Flashback ended-

I had loved Frank ever since that first day I came here. Now I was about to turn 18, and the guys were 19 so we had been Best Friends for about 9 years now. We all started killjoy training at the same time and Dr D said that we were gonna be great on missions and stuff.

-Flashback-

“Today, you guys are gonna get your Killjoy Names,” Dr Death Defying told us. We were all so excited about the fact that we were about to officially become killjoys, “You get to choose your own Name but within reason, it has to be something that comes from inside your heart and that you like yourself,” He continued. “I’ve my Killjoy name since I was 10 years old, Jet Star.” Said Ray Proudly. “So have I! Kobra Kid.” Mikey almost screamed. “I don’t have a clue what mine could be?” said Gerard. “Um.. How about Party Poison?” I said,

“Oh My God, Thats Brilliant Holly!! I am Party Poison!” Gerard Shouted. “Holly, do you know what yours is gonna be?” They all asked in Unison, “No, I don’t have a clue what mine could be, I want it to be epic though,” I laughed. “How about... Alteration Victory Revolver?” asked Mikey (He was always great with names:)) “Yeaah!! Thats brilliant Mikey, Thank You!!” I screamed as I jumped over to him and pulled him in to a hug. Everyone laughed as they watched me hug Mikey.

I pulled away and kissed his cheek and he blushed. “What about you Frank?” I asked as I made my way back to my seat. “um.. Fun Ghoul, yeaah I like Fun Ghoul” Frank smiled. I loved his smile, it made me get butterflies “Awesome!!” I almost screamed. “Okaay so we have Party Poison, Kobra Kid, Fun Ghoul, Jet Star and Alteration Victory Revolver. Thats Great Guys, Awesome Names.” Dr D smiled at us.

-Flashback Ended-

That was 4 years ago now, and I still love frank he is the nicest person I have ever met. Right now we are sitting in the Diner eating some Power Pups.   “DRACULOIDS!! DRACULOIDS EVERYWHERE EVERYONE OUTSIDE NOW!!” Shouted Doctor Cola, With that Everyone grabbed their Ray Guns and got outside and shot anything white. I killed alot of Dracs quickly but then one of the little bastards must have been behind me and shot my leg, and with that I was on the ground screaming in pain. Frank saw this and ran over to me, picked me up took me back in the Diner and got Dr D to dress my wounds,  he went back outside to help the guys and said he would be back soon.

“Are you okaay Holly!?!?!” Dr D came in quickly with a Concerned look on his face. “I got shot in the leg, I don’t know from what direction but it hurt like hell!” I shouted. “Its okaay Holly, i’ll get those wounds cleaned soon. That was quite the ambush wasn’t it.” He said trying to make small talk, “Yeaah it was, I wonder how they found us?” I said, “We’ll never know Holly, but don’t worry about that now, you need to rest” and with that he left the room to get supplies to clean my wounds. I leaned up to look out the window and saw a sea of white and red covering the ground, we won the ambush im guessing. “Holly!?! Are You Okaay?!?!” Gerard came running into the room. “Yeaah im okaay, just got shot in the leg” I Laughed, “Thank God Frank saw you, or you would have been a gonner!!” said Mikey, “Yeaah, Thank You so Much Frank, You really helped me out there” I smiled, “Its fine, I wouldn’t just leave you there to die Hun” he said with a Smirk. ‘He doesn’t usually call me hun?’ I thought to myself, and im sure the others were thinking the same thing by the look on their faces.
