Ana's POV
"Please tell me you didn't." I said, getting out of Momma's car.
"I didn't what?" She asked.
"Plan a coming home party." I said.
"Oh. Then no. I didn't.... Your mother did." She smirked.
"Momma!" I whined.
"What?" She whined back.
"You guys know I didn't want that!!" I said.
"I know. I tried to talk her out of it but she wouldn't listen." She said, coming over to help me up the stairs.
Stairs, you are my enemy right now.
I glared at the stairs as I stood at the bottom of them. I couldn't walk up my own front porch. How stupid and pathetic was that? I let out a growl before the door opened and Scarlet walked out. I mentally groaned.
"Do you want me to pick you up?" She asked.
I could say no but she'd do it anyways.
"No thanks." I said, only to have her pick me up and carry me up the stairs anyways.
See?! I told you so.
"Scar, I could have done that myself." I said.
"Really?" She asked me, raising a brow.
"Really." I said.
"I don't think you could have." She smiled at me.
"Why? Because I'm weak and pathetic?" I growled, walking past her.
I am so tired of people doing things for me because they think I can't do it on my own. Yeah, I was shot. Yeah, it still hurts like a motherfucker. Would I still like to do things on my own? Hell yes!
"Welcome home!"
I smiled at everyone and walked towards the stairs mumbling a 'thank you'. I glared at the stairs and went to walk up them before Mommy stopped me.
"Ana, you can't walk up the stairs yet." She said.
"Why not?" I asked.
"Because, it puts you into a lot of pain." She said.
"I got her." Momma said, coming over and picking me up.
She carried me up the stairs and ran into my room with me, "I know you hate, but I just didn't want you freaking out."
"Why does everyone think I'm so weak?" I asked.
"I don't know. I don't. I think you're very strong. I know you want to try and do things on your own and I'll support you 100%. If you wanna try walking up stairs, then do it. But I'm gonna be right behind you incase you decide you can't do it. I don't care if you go slower than a turtle up them, if you want to try it. Go for it." Momma smiled.
"Thanks Momma." I smiled.
"No problem. Do you want me to send someone in?" She asked.
"No! I just want some Ana-time." I said.
"Yes ma'am. I'll try to keep people away." Momma said.
"Thanks Momma. I love you." I smiled.
"I love you too rocket. Now I have to go see who's here." She smiled and kissed my head.
"Okay..." I trailed off as she left.
I didn't want to tell her but... I didn't want to be alone. Not with a house for of people. I want my Momma.
