My name is Cassie Joonk. I'm sixteen, have long, brown hair, and emareld eyes. Now, fellow readers are most likely wondering: How did our world go into darkness?
Let's just say one word here:
SOCIETY. They were stupid. I can't really say how it exactly happened. One day I was watching a video on my computer, and it went out. Along with everything else. And it has never been turned back on. Not anywhere in the world.
People began to riot. Now, we are forced to find heat, make food, and more importantly, run tests in labs. Because we have farmers for food. We have sewers clothes to make us warm. But when it comes to disease and sickness? Well, we have doctors. But they need machines to run tests and make cures. Now, there's nothing of the sort.
Light? The sun, but at night we use candles. Everyone is moving to the south now, but they are getting heavily populated. I remember, when I used to go to school a year ago before the Unplugging, I learned in social studies that overly populated areas never end in something good.
My parents chose a good state to live in: North Carolina. It's a great place, really. Midly warm, and never cold. Never reaches below 50.
Florida and California? God, each have about a population of 500 million people. It's the worst there. A few crazy people stayed in Maine, Canada, and other places in the cold area. But the rest of the world steered clear of the north.
So, now the world is here. Scientists and other geniuses are trying to figure out what went wrong, but no progress has been made this year. 2018 is starting, and havoc is slowly rising. People are dying from murder, and other mass destruction. Now the only hope anyone has is to survive.
