Peridot felt like her heart was about to beat right out of her chest. She couldn't believe she was on private property late at night. Lapis and Steven closely followed behind her; on chains. That way if they were caught it wouldn't look too suspicious. Peridot steadily got out her key as they approached the hand ship. "Okay you guys...when the door opens, we run in." Peridot told them. Steven nodded determinedly. As the latch slowly opened, Peridot looked around nervously, hoping that no one would hear.
Lapis and Steven darted inside quickly as Peridot looked around one more time. She went inside herself and shut the door behind her as quickly as possible. The three then ran down a hallway and to the main control room. Peridot's fingers shook as she started up the ship. "So we're going back to Earth?" Steven asked hopefully. "Yes" Peridot said, "But first...I'm going to get something..." she murmured and continued pressing buttons on the screen. "What?" Lapis asked a little worried. The hand ship was now floating up in the air, surely attracting the attention of gems down below. The ship then floated down towards Peridot's base. Peridot gulped nervously. "I-I'm taking our house with us." She explained weakly, as the hand ship turned and grabbed Peridot's base, pulling it up. She froze as she heard rumbling and a screen appear with Yellow Diamond.
"What are you DOING??" Yellow Diamond roared as Peridot turned to look at the screen. "I-I'm leaving!" she spat out, fumbling underneath the desk for wires. "I love Lapis, and I'm not going to hurt her; or anyone else anymore!" Steven backed away as he looked at the screen. Yellow Diamond looked like she was about to explode. Peridot seemed to finally grab some wires.
"YOU-" Yellow Diamond was cut off as Peridot pulled the wires out, ruining the screen. "Come on, come on!" She shook in fear as cannons were rushing out on the ground below. "What do we do??" Steven asked. "Just keep heading up! And pray they don't shoot us down!" Peridot was slightly able to make the ship go faster; it narrowly missed a laser ray that was shot from the ground. "A-Are we gonna make it?" Lapis asked in fear. Peridot looked out the window. "I...yeah!" she said happily as the laser rays stopped coming. The ground got smaller and smaller until they could no longer see it. "H-Hahah! We're safe!" Peridot exclaimed, almost not believing it. She suddenly hugged Lapis and Steven. "Wait...I need to do something!" She said suddenly. She went over to the main desk and seemed to destroy what was left of the navigation system. "I have Earth in my databanks. With the main navigation destroyed they can't follow us."

Lapis was walking around the ship while Peridot sat in the main chair. Steven was just sitting by Peridot on the floor. "Peridot..?" The general looked down at him. "Yes, Steven?" The young boy sighed and then frowned. "What did you do to Lapis?" Peridot froze in guilt and also fear. He couldn't tell him...could he? She bit her lip. "I...did do something. That's all I'll say. But we trust each other now." Steven got up. "Did you apologize to her?" Peridot just blinked. "What's that?" Steven just stared and thought to himself silently. "It's like...you tell her you know what you did was bad. And that you feel wrong about doing it. I mean...if you do feel that way.....do you...?"
Peridot bit her lip and had tears in her eyes. "I do feel bad...but she couldn't possibly forgive me!" Steven raised an eyebrow. "Why not? She seems to trust you now..." Peridot nodded and crossed her arms. "I don't want to bring it up again. She gets upset..." Steven just sighed. "You really should. It's the right thing to do." Peridot bit her lip and turned her chair. She hung her head down and thought about it silently.
The rest of the day on the ship Peridot seemed to avoid Steven as much as possible. Soon however, she called everyone to the control room. "We'll be approaching Earth soon." Peridot said calmy. "Yay!" Steven cheered silently. He was still upset that he had to leave Pearl and Amethyst behind...but he still had his dad and Connie...And whoever this Ruby was that Peridot brought along. Peridot seemed to pause as she stepped over in front of Lapis. "Um, Lapis..." Steven looked up, slightly hopeful.
"Lapis...I...I was wrong." The blue gem justblinked. "Huh?" Peridot was avoiding eye contact. "I-I..." Lapis held her handsto her chest. "What's wrong my general?" she asked concerned. "I was wrong!"Peridot spat out, teary eyed. "Hmmm?" Lapis asked her, holding her head. "I-I'msorry I raped you!" Peridot finally said, starting to cry. Lapis looked insurprise and then pulled the green gem close. "That's...the past...I trust you now,Peridottie" Lapis said teary eyed herself. Peridot hugged her closer and theboth of them cried. Steven looked on in shock, but was glad that Peridotfinally apologized. Lapis stroked her eye scar. "We'll be ok..." she told Peridotsoftly and Peridot hugged her again. "I promise."
