It's the first week in March, the boys had gotten signed and have been putting in countless hours at the studio. Duff and I had started to plan a wedding as in we knew when we're going to have it. Spring of '88, that's when we're going to get married. That's all we know for sure. Queenie keeps making sure that I realize that I can't wear blue jeans to my wedding, believe it or not I did actually know that. Duff and I had also talked about moving in together but we decided that we better wait, at least until they're done recording.

"Babe." Duff calls as he opens the door to the apartment.

I look over at him from the couch and he realizes that he didn't have to yell. Duff comes over and sits beside me, wrapping his arm around me as he sits. He kisses my cheek and puts his chin on my shoulder. I smile at him.

"Hi sweetie." I say and he smiles back at me.

"You know what day it is?" Duff wonders.

"Saturday." I say and he screws up his face.

"No, we've been together one year today." He says matter of factly and I smile.

"Really?" I wonder and he nods.

"Yeah, time flys, huh?" Duff realizes and I nod.

"So much has changed in a year." I admit. "You, Axl, Ruby, everything. I mean, I've been to freaking Italy." Duff smiles.

"We're making a record! Like holy Christ!" He says and I smile.

"At least everything has changed for the better." I say and he nods.

Duff moves my face and brushes his lips on mine before smiling.

"Definitely for the better." He says quietly and I smile. "Did you call Ruby today?" Duff wonders and I nod.

"Yeah, I miss her like crazy." I admit and look down. "I wish she lived closer."

It's quiet for a while. All of us miss Ruby, she's kinda like that missing part of our group. Yes, our group if filled with functioning alcoholics and rock stars but we all have that part in our heart that is reserved for Ruby. The thing that bothers me the most is that I don't know if prick is touching her. I'm close to two thousand miles away from her, I can't protect her. I finally understand what Axl went through all these years, to not protect your little sister, it's like an unforgivable sin.

Duff eventually kisses my nose to break up the silence. I smile and he grabs my hands.

"What do you think your parents think about the wedding?" He wonders with a smirk, knowing my parents don't like him all that much.

"Every time I talk to my mom, she doesn't bring it up." I admit.

"I know they hate me, so I wonder if they'll actually come to the wedding." Duff points out. "I mean, Rue has already decided that she is coming." He smiles and I laugh.

"Yeah, she's decided that alright." I smile as I watch Duff turn the ring on my finger, his new habit.

"You're coming to the studio today, right?" He wonders.

"Am I going to get in trouble or get you in trouble?" I wonder and he laughs.

"No Kitten, I promise. Besides, I always play better when you're there." Duff tells me and I smile.

"So what happens when you go on tour for a year and a half?" I wonder and he smirks.

"You're just going to have to fly your tiny ass out once in a while to see me." He says as he kisses my lips. "I love you." Duff kisses me after every word.

"I love you more." I tell him and he smiles at our old song and dance.

"Impossible." Duff assures me. "I don't know how I'm ever going to be able to leave you."

"Trust me, those screaming girls will help." I joke before he nuzzles into my neck.

"No they won't, they'll just make me more uncomfortable." He tells me, his lips brushing my neck with every word.

"Have you thought about a date yet?" I wonder.

"Yeah, actually." Duff says, facing me again.

"Yeah? When?" I wonder.

"Either April Fool's Day or today." He explains.

"Today?" I ask confused and he laughs.

"Like March seventh of '88." Duff corrects.

"Yeah." I agree.

"Yeah?" He questions.

"Yeah, I think that's a great idea." I say and Duff lights up.

"We've got something!" He exclaims.

"You know what this means?" I say.

"What?" Duff wonders.

"We've officially started to plan our wedding." I say and he smiles.

"I guess we did." He smirks. "One of a million other decisions to make. Woohoo!" Duff yells and I laugh.

"I love you, so much." I tell him and he smiles.

"I love you to, Kitten." Duff pulls me up onto his lap.

I put my head onto his shoulder and he holds me close. This feels right, I can't picture a future with anyone else. I love him and no act of God can change that. I will love him until the day I die.

"Taylor Jane McKagan, I like the sound of it." Duff smirks as I look up at him. "Sounds perfect to me."

"Yeah, me to." I smile.
