"Axl, I'm worried about her. She hasn't called in a couple days. I haven't heard from mom for a while either." I explain. It's the end of October, I haven't seen the boys since August. I miss them like crazy. I talk to them everyday. Ruby usually calls everyday to, she had started school but hasn't called in a couple of days. I haven't heard from mom in what seems to be a month.
"Who? Ruby?" Axl wonders.
"No Axl, I'm worried about the First Lady." I mutter and I hear him laugh.
"You worry too much, TJ. It's probably just prick on a roll about satanic older siblings again." He tries to comfort me. "Besides, we're all going to be in Layfette in a couple of weeks anyways, remember?"
"Yeah, Axl. I remember but I'm still worried." I admit.
"TJ," Axl starts.
"I'm honestly thinking of going up there early, just to check on her." I admit and he sighs.
"You know Duff isn't going to like the idea of you going back there alone." Axl reminds me.
"I know but this is Ruby. There's always a chance he's hurting her." I remind him back.
"I know but you gotta think of you, if you go back there alone...." He trails off.
"Axl I think you worry too much. I can take care of myself." I say and he sighs again.
"At least talk to Duff first, okay?" Axl requests.
"I will." I say.
"Are you going to do that now?" He wonders.
"Yeah." I say.
"Okay, be good. Love you, TJ." Axl tells me.
"Love you to." I say as I hang up.
I start to dial Duff's room number. I hold the phone up to my ear.
"Hello?" Duff sounds like he just woke up.
"Hi sweetie, did I wake you?" I wonder.
"Hey baby!" His voice has definitely changed. "No you didn't wake me, I've been up for hours." Liar, I roll my eyes.
"I love you." I smile, I can almost see his beautiful smile.
"I love you more." I miss his voice.
"Impossible, sweetie." I smile again. "I miss you."
"I miss you to, Taylor." Duff tells me.
"I have something I want to talk to you about." I admit.
"Oh?" He sounds worried. "Good or bad?"
"Not bad but not great either." I admit. "I'm worried about Ruby. I'm thinking of flying into Lafayette a week or so early."
"What do you mean worried?" Duff wonders.
"She usually calls me everyday, if not twice. Ruby hasn't called me in a couple of days. I haven't heard from my mom in like a month. I'm worried something might be wrong." I explain. "Like prick might've really hurt her."
"Okay but are you sure putting yourself in harms way in the answer?" He asks.
"This is Ruby we're talking about. If something happened to her..." I trail off.
"Baby, I get where you're coming from but I'd feel better if I was there with you." Duff admits.
"What if I have Queenie with me?" I wonder.
