Ch.26

I hold my breath. "Y-yes!" I gasp, letting it out. I start crying hormonal happy tears as he slips the ring onto my finger. Audrey yawns, and reaches her tiny hand to me. Every move she makes, makes me even happier for this new life I have

"God I love you Tris." Tobias says, handing me Audrey. I plant a long kiss on his lips, and sigh. This man will be the death of me.

"I love you too baby." I say. Audrey smacks her hand on my cheek, and I break away from his gaze, laughing.

"It looks like she thinks kissing is nasty." I joke, giving her a slight squeeze. She reaches out her arms around me. I slowly feel her breath getting quieter.

"Tobias, I'm gonna put her to sleep. Then we can have some fun." I say with a wink. He wiggles his eyebrows, making me laugh as I head to her room. I wish I could sleep as much as her.

I lay her onto the crib, covering her small body with a fleece blanket. The baby monitor is downstairs. Still, I lock all her windows and our door, and leave on her butterfly lamp. I don't want her getting hurt.

Tobias knocks on the door, and I walk out. "Time to go have fun."

I step out of the shower, still smiling.  That paintball game was so fun! Haha. You perverts thought they were going at it.

  Tobias went to grab Audrey when she woke up. I quickly change into a sweater and black leggings and head downstairs.

Tobias is laying on the couch, Audrey reaching around in his arms. The TV is on ABC, and "The Muppets" is playing.

"Hey princess, I know you want Mommy. Just hold on a minute." Tobias whispers, rubbing her soft cheek. I smile as I head Down the stairs, loving what I see. I sneak behind, and grab the back of the couch, startling Tobias.

"Hey darling! Can you please feed Audrey!" He says, jumping up. I laugh, grabbing her from Tobias' outstretched arms. "It'll be fine babe!" I say, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

He grins at me. I hold Audrey against my hip, popping it out so she can "sit" on it. I grab the formula from the bottom cabinet and grab a bottle from the pantry. I fill it with water, placing it in the microwave. I am about to get a teaspoon, when arms wrap around mine.

"Can I do anything without you?" I giggle, kissing Tobias. Audrey pats my chest. "Hey hungry! You get a bottle!" I say, and kiss her cheek. "She has good taste." Tobias winks. I slap his arm.

"Calm it Toby! Don't say that with the child around!" I scold. He laughs at me. The microwave alarm goes off, and Tobias grabs the bottle for me. I give him a kiss on the cheek as he puts the formula in the bottle, and shakes it so it all mixes.

Audrey get a bit fussy when she sees the bottle. I step to Tobias and grab it from his hands. Audrey tries to grasp the bottle, and pushes my hand towards her mouth.  I laugh, holding it for her.

"She's hungry." Tobias says. "Well duh!" I roll my eyes, and hit his arm again. He rubs it,"Stop hitting me!" I laugh, pushing the bottle back to Audrey's mouth.

Next morning

I wake quietly, the baby monitor silent. Crap. Tobias had to go back to school today! I guess I can go to Christina's. I hear a quiet whining from the baby monitor.

Groaning, I walk into her room. She's whimpering, and reaching her chubby arms out. Tears stream down her plump cheeks. Must've been a bad nightmare.

I quickly pick Audrey up, holding her against myself. I pat her back while she slowly begins to calm down. "Mommy's here. Don't worry baby girl." I whisper, hugging her small body.
