"Bye Christina!" I yell, placing Audrey in her car seat. I strap her in, placing a fleece blanket over her sleeping self.
Christina waves goodbye to me, and I carefully drive back home.
I here Audrey yawn as I pull up in the driveway. She moves her blanket around, still half asleep.
I laugh, and hop out to unstrap her. She immediately falls into my chest, her soft breaths warming me. I smile, covering her with the blanket again, and quietly walk inside.
The sight before me is terrifying.
Uriah and Zeke stand in the kitchen, pretty much tossing all of our food in the air. I yell, stomping over. "What are you doing!" I yell, slapping Uriah across the face.
He holds his hand to his cheek. "We were gonna make you a cake! But apparently that's bad!" He says. Audrey stirs in my arms whimpering. I wave them off, and tiptoe up to her room.
I run circles on her back, and she calms down. "I'll let you sleep." I coo, laying her in the crib. She stirs a bit, but finds comfort in her blanket.
I tiptoe back downstairs, and walk back to the idiots in the kitchen. "Now, do you want to know how to make a real cake!"

I wipe the rest of the flour off of my face. "At least it's over!" Uriah says laughing. I send him a death glare,"But I got sugar in my hair and I still have to take the cake out of the oven and ice it!" I say, flicking the flour off my finger onto Zeke.
He sticks his tongue out, patting it away. "Well I'm gonna go pick up Four. We're having a pre-bachelor party for him." Uriah says, slipping his phone in his pocket.
The idiots both walk out, leaving me alone with a baby and a cake. I stop the timer for the cake, which only had thirty seconds left on it, and pull out an oven mitt from Evelyn's baking cabinet. She won't mind since she isn't getting back from California till Friday.
I open up the hot oven, being greeted with a wave of hot air. I blow it from my face, and pull out the perfectly browned cake. The guys made the batter, so I don't know how this will taste.
The cake pillows with steam, and I blow it away with my hand. It settles down, and I examine it. A little bit of batter rode on the edges, and is now slightly spilled over the pan. It rises way too high, but it'll do.
I leave it to cool, heading upstairs while pulling off my dirty apron. I hear a whine from her room, and dart in. She is motioning toward something black in her crib.
A black widow! I run over, balling up the apron and grabbing the big spider before it can touch Audrey. I throw the apron out the window, into the open trash can.
Audrey's whines start to smooth, so I pick her up. She cuddles against my chest. While I comfort her, something comes to me. Black widows don't even live in Chicago. Someone planted it in her crib.
I hurriedly place her on my hip, locking all of her windows and mine, heading downstairs. Audrey bobs her mouth while I proceed to shut all other Windows and doors. I won't let anyone hurt my baby girl.
The phone rings loudly as I finish completely locking the front door. Audrey grabs her hands out at it, and I hesitantly answer.
The voice is deep and harsh,"Is this Beatrice Prior?"
"Who's asking?" I say hesitantly
"Deputy Peter." He answers quickly.
"Y-yes! Is something wrong?" I exclaim, getting really nervous.
"I'm sorry. Your father had died in a car crash."I scoff into the phone,"I don't give a crap about him. If there's something I should be concerned about in his will or something, just tell me." I say, surprising the officer.
"Well ma'am, it seems your brother is in jail, so you have inherited all fifty million and his property in the Bahamas."
I suck in a breath,"Well thank you. Meet me and my lawyer whenever, just call back. Goodbye." I say, hanging up the phone.
I can't believe my father had all of this and didn't give a care about me. Audrey hits my chest. Making a 'baba' sound. I smile.
"You're one of two family members in my life, and you are by far the cutest." I coo, kissing her forehead. She giggles, and I pull back against my chest.
Suddenly, a sharp knock rings at the door. I creak it open, and Tobias runs in. "My god Tris I thought you were dead!" He exclaims, wrapping his arms around me.
A bewildered look displays on my face. "Why would I be dead?" I ask, pulling away from his arms. Tobias looks solemnly in my eyes, "this text."
He pulls out his phone, displaying a list of horrid texts from an unknown number.
I've got your petty fiancé
She's screaming in pain
I'm cutting her wrists
I'm stabbing your child
I broke her neck
I killed your fiancé
I'm cutting up her body
I'm throwing it in the lake
Her bag of partsI stare in disgust at the texts. Tobias pulls Audrey and I into his arms. "I'm so scared!" I say,"Audrey had a black widow in her crib." Tobias sucks in a breath.
"Someone's after us."
