I had finally got him to bed when I heard the shots from outside. Tobias sprung up, eyes bloodshot and he winced from the quick movement. "Stay here." He demands, carefully climbing out of bed and limping to the balcony. He peeks carefully through the windows, and his face drains of color.

"Keep the lights off, grab whatever you can't part with, grab your phone, we are leaving through the large vent in the bathroom." He says in a stern voice. I don't know what's happening, but when this Tobias comes back, I know I need to move.

I jump from bed, toss on a fleece robe, and grab a small bag, putting in some of my keepsakes Audrey made me take, and my phone. I don't need anything more.

"Baby, what's happening." I whisper as he works on taking off the vent screen. "I-I'm not so positive, but when I looked there were people being shot outside, and men running into the entrance. We don't have much time, now get in, I'll be right behind you." He says, out of breath and wincing with the movements of his hurt knee.

I reluctantly climb in, not wanting him to have a remote possibility of getting hurt, and start crawling through the vent, careful over the grates. Being small has never helped me more. Tobias reaches me about ten feet in, and assures me no one will follow.

I'm shaking in fear, every nerve in my body hyped. I didn't realize it, but tears had begun to flow silently from my eyes. I bite my lip, stifling any noises I could be making.

"It's ok, I know we can get out. We are, what's that word we used in school? Oh yah, we are divergent." He says with a smirk, trying to make me feel better.

I continue crawling, letting a smile creep up my lips, trying to distract myself from the possibility of getting shot. Suddenly, I here a  noise from another duct. I stop dead in my tracks, and Tobias covers up my body as much as he can in the two by three duct. I peek through a hole in his 'arm shield'.

He breathes a sigh of relief, "It's only the other honeymooners." He says, giving them a concerned glance. "Hey Annabelle." I whisper, starting again through the duct. She smiles, but I can tell she's been crying.

Finally, after ten more minutes of crawling through this claustrophobic space, in which we had to stop Tobias from having a full blown panic attack, I reach an outside vent. I turn sideways, letting him inch past me, so he can make sure no one is outside.

"I can't see anyone, but we have to climb down window ledges, are you guys ok with that?" He asks the other honeymooners. They both nod hesitantly.

Tobias quietly pushes on the ends of the vent, and it easily pops off, almost falling to the ground a hundred miles below. We shove it against the wall, and Tobias carefully turns around.

I watch as he plants his feet on the first ledge. Three gunshots ring out. We all wince from the noise, it came from inside. He suddenly gets quicker, I'm guessing his adrenaline is kicking in, and he starts to slide me down above him.

I find the ledge barely, being short not helping at the moment, and vaguely get my feet planted before moving my hands down to a bar.

Then, the other couple climbs out, and we start the terrifying decent down to the bottom. Tobias taps my ankle whenever he is down a ledge. I move my arm down to the next bar, then shakily place my for on the ledge below.

He holds my ankles as I situate myself, and grasp the poles harder as my hands become wet with sweat. After letting Annabelle out, we are only three ledges from the small bushes at the bottom.

Tobias goes down another ledge, and I carefully follow, my clammy hands making the situation worse. None of us dare to speak, for fear someone might be lurking around and shoot us.

Finally, I watch as Tobias dislodges, landing shakily in the bushes. "It's safe down here, jump." He whisper yells. And I hop backwards, landing awkwardly, but still standing.

As I turn around, a terrible pain rips across the surface of my arm. I let out a screech, and see someone running toward us. I grab my arm, watching as blood seeps from my fingers. Someone shot me. And I was lucky enough for it to only graze my skin.

"Go GO!" He yells, not waiting for the others to grab me and dart into the not-so-dense woods. I clutch the searing wound on my arm, trying to let me adrenaline drown out the pain.

Everything is so dark and branches cut our legs and grasp at the one small bag I attached to my robe. "Only a little farther, we can go to that ravine." He says, wrapping his arm around me.

He stops for a second, and I realize my legs are aching, my chest burning. "Tris?" He says, placing a hand on my cheek. I nod in acknowledgement. "I love you, so much." He says, giving me a hard, loving kiss. His warm lips soothe me, for a second ignoring the terrible pain through my body.

We pull away, and dart toward the small ravine, that is concealed mostly by vines and palm trees. Suddenly, I'm laying on the ground. It takes a moment to register the immense amount of pain that went through my right shoulder.

I can't speak. Can't move. My vision starts to blacken as Tobias says indecipherable words. And then. Nothing.

Don't worry this isn't the last chapter or anything, but you guys I'm so happy my writers block was cured!!!! I'll try to update as much as I can but I am moving on Thursday, so I might be a bit busy. Thanks initiates!
