He took me out into the roof's garden. There was a slight breeze and it smelled of many varieties of plants and flowers. I smelled mixes of cool citrus and wild chamomile with a scent of white freesia and peony, and finally, a few finishing touched of patchouli. The splendid combination brings out a scent that is distinctly floral and feminine, with a slight hint of mysteriousness from the trees and grass. "What is it?" He asked me curiously. "Do you really think that you could take me here without me stopping to see the flowers and savor their sweet scents?" I asked him analytically. He paused to rationalize what I just demanded him.
It took him a minute to determine a riposte. "I guess not," he gave up. I laughed at him. "Of course you would laugh at this," he grumbled to himself, but it was loud enough for me to hear. The breeze blew stronger and I walked up into the edge of the roof, which also was the highest point of it to watch the sun go down and sink into the ocean. The magnificent colors of the sun reflected on the ocean and made it glimmer with spectacularity The sky looked just like a marvelous rainbow with the radiant sun still shining. I could still see as if it bright as day, but the day was coming to an end.
I looked up at Lucas to see that he was staring off into space. I tried to see what he was looking at but it was only Anthony. What was the big deal? Oh yeah, Anthony. Without thinking, I let go of his hand, jumped off the roof, and landed on my feet right behind Anthony. I heard Lucas shout and leap after me. "Are you alright?" He asked with his tone full of concern. I nodded and spoke to Anthony. "Hey, um, Anthony? May I please speak to you privately for a minute?" He looked at me in surprise and then composed his features. I grimaced. How could they all change their emotions so quickly? Did they all have time to practice every day or... My thought were interrupted by Anthony. "Yes, I have time, please come with me," he walked into the mansion. He led me to what looked like his office.
"I am sorry my dear, but you just surprised me when you woke up so early. It usually takes about 2 days for the full transformation." "Yes, I know," I replied. "So what would you like to speak to me about then?" Wasn't it even a little bit obvious? No? Well... "Where were you today Anthony?" I asked. I knew Lucas was lying and whatever he was hiding from me, I wanted to and will find out. "What did Lucas tell you?" He asked. Of course, if there had been something to hide, which of course there was, he wouldn't have had to ask that. So since I was expecting that, I continued on acting innocent and not surprised.
"Well, he told me two different things, and I would like to please ask you for the truth," I replied with pure innocence all over my features... I think. I haven't yet had a glance at myself yet, but could vampires have reflections? If I looked like a monster, goodbye any chance of innocence. Luckily though, it seemed to work. "You know he lied, didn't you?" He let out a defeated sigh. I nodded enthusiastically but spoke in a calm voice. "Yeah, I figured out that much. Now can you please tell me?" I asked impatiently. What were they hiding. I heard a loud growl from the other side of the closed door. We both looked at the door. Lucas.
"I'm afraid that I, in fact cannot tell you where I've been, for that is only if Lucas wishes me to and at the moment, I'm sure he does not," he spoke. I heard a growl and I thought that it was Lucas again until I realized it was me. I was fuming to myself in my head. I finally calmed down enough for a retort. "Why do you have to have Lucas's permission to tell me where you went. I mean, it's what you did right? Not his," I argued. I couldn't stand not knowing. It was one of my pet peeves. I hated secrets unless I was in on them.
Lucas opened the door and had a smug smirk on his face. I stormed out in a flash and locked the door to my room. I heard a soft knock on my door but I ignored it. I layed on my pillow and stared at the ceiling. The knocking gradually grew louder. I turned and grabbed my purse. I unzipped it and pulled out my charger for my phone. Around this time, the knocking grew louder until it was pounding on my door.
