chapter 6
beauty and the beast :)
"I'm a werewolf." he said quietly.
"Well, duh." I mumbled.
"Sarah I'm going to explain everything I know to you about shifters, ok?"
"Okay." I mumbled, not really wanting to talk.
"Okay, well, there are different types of shifters such as tigers, wolves, lions, bears, and fish. Pretty much all animals are shifters."
"Mmhm." I said, nodding.
"As you know, my pack and I are all wolves. Except some of the females are tigers." Shane said.
"Don't stop, just keep going, okay?" I whispered.
"Alright..."
It went on for about an hour -werewolf facts at bottom- before he stopped, it was a lot to take in, that's for sure.
"Shaney bear?" I said quietly.
"Mmm?" he said wrapping his arms around me, holding me in his muscled arms.
"Are we mates?" I asked innocently and honestly.
His grip tightened. "We won't find out until my birthday," he said hopefully.
"Oh... that's like a month away." I said, getting nervous.
"Yeah" he said, breathlessly.
"What if I was your mate, Shaney bear, what would happen?" I asked questioningly.
"Oh, alpha Shaney Bear," A deep honey sweet voice said teasingly as he entered the small clearing.
The boy had dirty blonde hair, a nice deep tan, perfect white teeth, and honey gold eyes. He just looked so warm; you just wanted to hug him.
"Hey, you must be Sarah, right?" he asked.
"Yeah, Sarah Wonderland, and you are?" I asked quickly getting off of Shane, noticing our position.
"Jace Warmston" He said holding out his hand for me to shake.
"That fits." I mumbled, and took his hand; a tingle erupted in my hand and up my arm.
I looked up at him, and he looked back at me with a weird look, we pulled our hands away slowly.
"Shaney bear, I want to go home." I pouted and turned towards him
"Sarah, my parents want to meet you tonight." Shane said calmly.
"How about tomorrow we hang out all day at your house, full tour and introductions, and dinner, because tonight I'm way too tired" I said convincingly.
"That will be fine Sarah." Jace said. He looked slightly dazed.
"Who are you to say?" Shane mumbled, aggravated.
"I guess I could, but that only means less time for us to spend together." I said with a sigh.
"I guess you're right." Shane said, defeated.
"Okay, just give me the address then." I said happily.
"Just meet me in the clearing and we'll ride from there, I guess." he said in his normal voice
"Okay, so how am I getting home now?" I asked, normally.
"You'll see." he said excitedly. He closed his eyes, and before I knew it he exploded into his huge wolf form.
