Chapter 8

Dippers POV

I woke up with the same alarm I heard in the bus got changed ate breakfast with Pacifica and we made our way down to the gym. When I arrived I spotted my stalker for a second and then she was gone. "Weird" I thought to myself. But then I quickly got my act back together and started practicing some spells on a few dummies. Speaking about dummies I saw Gideon today and he came alone to me giving me the same offer as Pacifica. "Go find another magician Gideon"  I said then he said to me with a devious little smirk "Get to know Pacifica as well as you can smart guy it might be the last chance you'll ever get. With that he walked away smirking and I realized that sooner or later one of us has to die I quickly got back to my book and hoped that It wouldn't be me to kill Pacifica.

Pacificas POV

It was 6:00 I wore my purple dress and wore my wool scarf and Dipper wore his Tuxedo. Before we left to an interview Dipper's Grunkle Stan said cheerfully "Here's my final advice once you're out there don't sell yourselves sell your story." We said our goodbyes and made our to the interview room which is located somewhere so far that we needed to take a limo to get there Dipper opened the door for me and then he went inside. It  was an unusually silent limo ride and usually me and my parents just talk about what I'm going to do and what I'm going to wear but with Dipper it was different I was expecting for him to ask me everything like where are you going to stay, what are you going to do, who are you going to kill but instead he just said "You look nice" I was so caught off guard about what he just said and I just blurted out "YOU LOOK NICE TOO". After that I just covered my mouth and blushed but he immediately noticed this and just handed me a bottle of water. I thanked him and he just gave me a small smile and said "Anytime". After I drank I noticed that Dipper is reading my body language, my expressions, and my movements like an open book and he just gives me exactly what I need and all I did is just say thank you. But I decided that it was about time I get to know the roommate I've been living with for the last few days.Before I knew it me and Dipper just had one of the most pleasent conversation I've ever had we told stories, ask each other questions, and even getting to know each others past I told him mine but I didn't want to know Dipper's past because on what he told me in the bus. I knew that I just  broke my promise but I don't care because for the first time in my life I finally know someone who gets me. And the whole conversation stopped when we arrive. Dipper got out first and opened my door and whispered to me "showtime". After we passed the camera flashes and the cameras we were in the waiting room and before I knew it I was called up Dipper wished me luck and I went to the interview room. It was a huge stage filled with adoring crowds from all across the districts when I sat down a small awkward looking man was asking me a very difficult question "Hello Pacifica I'm Toby Determined and I was just wondering how do your parents feel about sending you to the Cipher games." I stuttered and said "They're kinda okay I guess" "What do you mean okay" Toby said whit a confused face. "Well they're just okay and they think that I have a pretty good chance of winning" I said with a smile. Then Toby asked me a question I haven't been thinking about for a while "How do you feel about Dipper Pines". "He's great I guess he thought me a lot of new things and I would never got the self-confidence I have right now if it wasn't for him. "I'm aware about that but how do you feel about losing him" Toby asked. Then all of a sudden my whole world froze as I said " I haven't given much taught about that". Toby asked me again "So how do you feel about Dipper........ dying." I just frowned and said " I really don't want him to die but I'm praying I won't have to be the one who kills him". As Toby saw this is enough he just said "I understand now good luck in the Cipher games" . "Thanks" I said as I was thinking about what he just asked me. I made my way down to the main hall seeing that I was alone I just sat down and whispered to myself "Why did he have to volunteer." 

Dippers POV

It was my turn to go and seeing that Toby did a number on Pacifica I was curious in what did he have in store for me. I made my way to the Interview room and sat down giving a fake smile for the rest of the show."So Dipper why did you volunteer in place of your sister.".I answered "Because she's my sister and I love her." "So some people say that fire show of yours was fake what do you have to say about that" he asked. "Oh they're real and I'm about to prove that" I said with a smile I pulled my hand holding a perfect circle of blue fire and burned the small glass of flowers nearby. "Wow" Toby exclaimed "Wait i'm getting news that people have started to call you the boy on fire" he said as he looked at me. "Fitting" I said as I joked around. Then Toby asked me another question "You got any friends you wanna say hello to back in district 12" "Yeah Wendy,Mabel,Mom, and Thompson". "Hmmmm most of them are girls" Toby said. I didn't like where this is going then my hunch was right he asked me a question that change my life "So Dipper you got any girlfriends."All I could say was "uhhhhh". "Come on a nice,smart,single boy like you has to have a girl" Toby said trying to flatter me. Then I remembered Pacifica saying "Do whatever it takes to get sponsors to like you." Then I said "Well there has been one girl on my mind lately but I don't know if she likes me." Toby instantly replies "She's gotta a name because after this she'll surely love you". I said "I don't think that'll be happening anytime soon" "Why"He said with curiosity. I said in disbelief on what I'm about to say next  "Because she's standing right here beside me". " Well then" Toby still shuttering "I wish you the best of luck and in the future you'll know what to do" and with that he sent me off. 

I was expecting to see Pacifica in the the waiting room but I did saw her. I saw her arm on my neck pushing me towards a wall. "What the hell were you thinking" she exclaimed. "I was following your advice" I said. "Yeah I got that but why did you ruin my life" She replied. I just said to her with a grave voice "Our lives were forfeited the moment we entered that bus." Upon hearing that she just stepped back, apologized and said "Good Luck" knowing it'll be the last time we were going to speak with each other.
