Ginny-
The figure was sat flicking through notes not noticing that his family was there. She hadn't even glanced up to see them anxiously staring at her.
Who was going to make the first move to tell her what had happened?
Luckily no one had to because she then moved her head and saw them looking at her.
It was Ruby Forest, James girlfriend.
"Mrs Potter what are you doing here? Is everything ok?" She asked.
"There's been an attack on the Auror department. Did you not know?" Ginny asked.
"I didn't think James was working today. He told me he was going out into town." She said wearily.
"T-they said he was seriously injured." Ginny said.
"Wait there." Ruby said and she hurried off down the corridor.
"Wouldn't she have known?" Alexis asked.
"Probably not. Maybe she wasn't in the room at the time and they didn't need her." Caitlyn said.
"Yeah that could be true." Ginny agreed.
Ruby then came back. "Follow me." She said quietly and Ginny following her.
They stopped outside a room. In the room was a bed with a older boy who was very handsome just like his after asleep. There was a cut on his face and he was asleep. Ginny sat down next to him and held his hand.
"You can talk to him. He's asleep but he will head you." Ruby whispered and Ginny could see the tears running down her face.
"Will he be ok?" Ginny asked tears swimming around in her eyes.
"He should be. I'll leave you alone with him." Ruby replied leaving the room.
Ginny sighed as she took in James appearance. He looked so lost and so cold and Ginny knew she was the one who could take his pain away. But for this she couldn't. It would have to be antibiotics and treatment to cure this. It was a mother's job to look after her children and Ginny had vowed to do this after she gave birth to James. Especially after Ginny had fought in a war.
She held James' hand. It was warm so that meant that there was still some life there. The question is where? When will he wake up?
Then Ginny had a flashback:
James' 6th year at Hogwarts 16th February:
Ginny is sat at home. Harry is at work. Then the owl flies in with the Daily Prophet. On the front it says:
MASS ATTACK AT HOGWARTS!
Panic rose in Ginny's chest. The moving pictures show injured students being helped out of the Great Hall.
A bloody attack has occurred at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There are among hundreds of casualties although there have been no deaths. It is believed that an escaped Azkaban prisoner broke into the Great Hall during a feast and fired his wand at certain objects and students. It is believed that he was targeting the Potter children: James, Albus and Lily Potter. Although all three of them suffered minor injuries, it was James' friends, Brent, Emmelie, Milla, Alex and new student Autumn, who were injured while James' girlfriend Ruby Forest, suffered the worst injures. Albus and Lily Potter also managed to escape unharmed along with their friends. Fred Weasley, James' cousin and good friend, managed to escape as well.
The Auror department have released a statement saying that they are "doing everything they can, to make sure that everyone is safe and that all evidence is counted up".
The Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt, has urged Headmistress McGonagall, to make sure every students receives the right amount of care.
More on live tv...
Ginny immediately reached for the tv remote. It turned on to a live shot of Hogwarts, showing the same pictures as the ones on the front of the Daily Prophet. Ginny needed to apparate. She wanted to apparate. She really did. But all she could do was watch the screen. Her body froze and trembled and she stared at the screen in shock.
There was then a live shot of the school. It looked normal. Like nothing had happened.
Another shot went to inside the hall where the attack took place. There were smashed plates glass scattering the floor. Short spots of blood glistened the floor. Everything looked horrifying. It then went to St Mungos. Ginny sat up in her seat. The reporter said that Ruby's condition was critical and that her life hanged in the balance.
Ginny couldn't hang around any longer. she apparated to St Mungos and saw all of her family sitting in the waiting room.
"Ginny thank god you're here!" Hermione cried.
"I've seen everything." Ginny sighed.
"Everyone's ok, but James won't leave the room Ruby's in." Fred explained as his face was covered in bruises and blood.
"I'll go see him." Ginny said and hurried off.
She found the room that James was in and he was sitting next to her bed, holding her hand. Ginny could see the significant injures that James had. He had several cuts on his face although they weren't too severe and his hands looked cold and pale and he was shaking and Ginny could see the small tears appearing and rolling down his face. Ginny knew how much James loved Ruby. He asked her out at the Hogwarts New Years Eve party just as the clock struck midnight.
Ginny sat next to James and pulled her closer to him. She comforted him as he sobbed into her shoulder.
"She'll be absolutely fine James. She's a fighter" Ginny sighed.
"B-but w-what is she isn't. I can't imagine a life without her Mum...I-I j-just can't." James stuttered.
"I know that these things happen James but she will be ok." Ginny said.
"H-his name was D-Dean Thomas. The attacker" James suddenly said.
"What?!" Ginny exclaimed.
"Headmistress McGonagall shouted his name when he burst into the Great Hall. He had his wand pointed at me, Albus and Lily. Spells started to be fired everywhere and the sixth and seventh years duelled with him along with the teachers. Anyway, the other years were escorted away safely through some secret entrance in the Great Hall and most of the people injured were fighting. Ruby took a spell for me and her injures came out the worst. Everyone else suffered cuts and bruises and were shaken up..."
Ginny's thoughts were awoken when James' hand suddenly twitched...
