The Aftermath: Sequel to It Was Always You. A Ginny Weasley Fanfic

Chapter 3

Ginny-

A month had now past and Ginny's arm was completely better. She been back on her broom in no time and wasn't going to let something like a broken arm put her down.

Harry had been keeping Ginny busy since her arm had been mended. She didn't know what was going on but she had an idea that her family were hiding something from her. Ginny's mind and body were completely exhausted from all of the work from Quidditch. Gwen had been training the team harder as they were now into the final. If Puddlemore United beat Chudley Cannons today then they would be versing HolyHead Harpies in the final. Ginny sat down on the sofa and turned on the tv to watch the match. It was meant to be an exciting game. The sounds of cheers could be heard from the tv and the match began.

Around half an hour later the match was over as the Puddlemore United Seeker caught the Snitch. This meant that Puddlemore United would be versing HolyHead Harpies. Ginny then heard the front door open and then close. This meant that Harry was home. He sat down looking as exhausted as ever as he put his arm around Ginny's shoulder.

"Ginny, listen, me and Ron have been assigned to a mission. We'll be gone for a while. Weeks maybe. We don't want you or Hermione to worry about us. We'll come back in one piece" Harry explained.

"I'm not worried Harry. Don't be stupid. I admit I was worried when you went Horcrux hunting, but you're both strong." Ginny smiled. She laid her head on Harry's chest. "Will you be back in time for the Quidditch Match?"

"Probably not. Death Eaters are cunning. We could be searching for ages" Harry replied.

"Don't worry if you don't come back in time. I'll make sure we win for you" Ginny smiled.

"I love you" Harry said.

"I love you too" Ginny smiled and they kissed slowly for what felt like hours. Both of their emotions of love and respect were poured into that kiss. Everything was ok.

Ginny woke up to an empty bed 2 weeks later. Harry had been gone a week and he hadn't returned home. The other side of the bed had been cold for what felt like ages. Ginny got up and went into the bathroom. Emerging from it 10 minutes later she got dressed and went downstairs to start breakfast. Only having toast, Ginny then stepped out into the cool breeze as she made her way towards where the HolyHead Harpies trained. Her parents, brothers, Caitlyn, Seamus, Alexis, Jack and Hermione would be making their way over there as well to watch their training sessions. Even though Harry and Ron wouldn't be there, Ginny was glad that she had her family. They always stuck by her side. Ginny made sure she was out of site from anyone noticing anything suspicious and then apparated away.

Ginny saw the stands where the team trained and made her way over there. The breeze tickled her skin. Her family were sitting in the stands right behind the goal post. Ginny went over to them to see excitement on their faces.

"Why are you lot so excited?" Ginny asked.

"What? Are we not allowed to be excited that your team are in the final of the Quidditch League?" Alexis rolled her eyes.

"The team haven't been in the final for three years!" Caitlyn said.

"Whatever" Ginny replied.

"GINNY!" The voice of Gwen could be heard which meant that Ginny had to head down to meet the team. Ginny joined the team and they began working on drills.

"It's been 2 months!" Ginny cried as she was round Hermione and Ron's place. Harry and Ron had been gone for nearly 2 months and they hadn't heard from them once. Ginny had been telling herself not to worry, but the panic had been slowly rising in her chest these past few weeks.
