It's dark now. We needed to find a place to camp out soon. I continued driving until I found an okay place to camp out at. Got out and set up a small fire. Phoenix sat close to the fire. "We aren't going back" I mumbled to her. "What? What do you mean?!" She asked her voice raising. "We're going to the Plains of Silence" I replied.
She stayed silent for a bit. "So we're just gonna leave? So you're going to leave your sister??" She said her voice more calm but stern. She got up and started walking the opposite direction. "Where are you gonna go?" I asked getting up. "Back. I'm not gonna leave Ariadne there." She yelled. I ran up and grabbed her arm. "It's dark and I'm not gonna let you walk all the way back by yourself. Everything hurts out here" I replied.
She nodded and walked back with me. We both sat down and stayed silent. I knew she was angry. Ariadne is her friend and my sister. I couldn't go back though. I couldn't face them and I couldn't help but think about what happened. It consumed my mind.
"You're the only family she has." She said quietly. I wasn't sure how to reply to that. I just didn't say anything at all. I couldn't help but feel bad. Of course I wasn't going to let her or anyone else know that. I was gonna come back, but things got bad so fast. I made my life with Jesse. Once that was destroyed, I was destroyed.
