Jasmine's POV
Seventh period was finally over and I have to tell my parents that I'm going bowling with Will. Telling them things are so weird.
I didn't talk to Trey that much since he confessed his feelings for me and I don't want it to be awkward. He was my best friend when we was growing up and I don't want that to ruin everything.
When all the students were walking out the door, I saw him grabbing his belongings. What should I say? Hi?
I walked towards him. "Hey."
"Hi," he replied.
"I was a total asshole for the past--"
"Jasmine--"
"Trey, listen to me. I was an asshole for the past couple of weeks. I never knew you'd liked me for so long. I shouldn't just kicked you out like that with no explanation. I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry for almost kissing you. I should've asked first."
"It's fine." We started to walk out the classroom and it feels nice to have my friend back.
"You want to get something to eat? To talk about this?"
"I'll like that."

"This is weird," Trey said when we was line for Chipotle. "It's like we're on a date."
"Hey, Chipotle is my savior and I would go on a date with anyone that would buy me a burrito from Chipotle."
"Wow, I'm surprised you're not destroying your self esteem because you're eating something fatty."
I sighed. "Chipotle is my husband." We got to the front of the line and ordered our food.
When we finally got to the cashier, she asked me and Trey if we wanted chips. He said yes and we'll have to share it. That's cute.
Wait, why did I say cute? Snap out of it!
He paid the food and we walked out the door, walking to a table. I sat down with my food in my hand, and he did the same as well.
"Bon appetite," he said. We unwrapped our burritos and had a big bite into it. We looked at each other and started to laugh.
"Don't put this on any social media," I said.
He laughs. "Okay." He still looks at me. "You know, you're really beautiful."
I stopped chewing and looked at him. "Um, thanks?"
"No, I didn't mean to be so pushy! Aw, damn it, Trey."
"Trey, it's okay. I don't want to be too awkward between us." Even though my heart is beating a bit faster than it's supposed to be.
"So how long have you liked me?" I asked.
"Since I saw you with your long puffy hair in second grade."
"Wow, that's long. What do you like about me?"
"You're such a creative person. You don't give two shits to what people are saying about you. You're funny, smart, and amazingly beautiful."
I smiled, having my cheeks feeling hot. "Why haven't you told me your feelings?"
"Because you were crushing on other guys and it's going to be weird that your best friend have a crush on you. But when you was in that bathroom in the seventh grade, I'd almost kissed you. But you pushed me away. That was a sign that you didn't like me that way."
