Four days later...

Friday! The day before Saturday.

I'm ready to sleep.

Lately, I had tests, quizzes, and a lot of assignments lately that I didn't expect for.

I actually studied for them, which I never do.

Before I go to school, I have to go to the precinct for some daily report thing. The struggle of doing this.

It's been a while since I saw Leon. After what happened in his office, I wanted to stay away. But I can't because he's my parole officer.

I don't know what's going to happen, but if something's going to happen, I have my pepper spray. I walked in the precinct, and I signed in. I went into the metal detector, and walked to Leon's office.

He opened the door before I did, and he looked at me.

"Hey Jasmine."

"Um, hi," I replied awkwardly. "The daily report thing."

"Right." We walked to his office, and he looked for the papers for daily report. I didn't want to get all awkward, but not too cozy, if you know what I mean.

"You know, I don't know your age. How old are you?"

He chuckled. "You already know my age. I'm 27."

"Birthday?"

"October 24th."

"Where was you born?"

He looked at me weirdly. "You already know these answers. Are you trying to get something from me?"

"No," I answered. "Your birthday's coming up, so I was giving you a surprise. Now, where was you born?"

"Canada."

"Okay," I say. To be honest, I wanted to make small talk. Now, my dumb ass have to buy a gift. I wouldn't buy one, but after all the shit I went to, I have to repay him.

"Here's your daily reports." He handed me the papers. "Every teacher have to fill them out."

"Got you." I put the paper in my Jansport bag. "So, that's it, right?"

"Yeah, but one more thing. About a week ago, what happened in the office, it was totally unprofessional and I'm sorry."

"No worries, it's cool. I'm just glad this is normal now." I'm glad that Leon and I are cool. It'll be really funny if he had some type of romantic attachment towards me. That would be really weird, even though he's really cute.

Leon reminds of the dude in the wheelchair in Degrassi: The Next Generation. I don't know but I think it's just me.

"Okay, I have to go to school. I'm a good person now," I say.

He chuckled. "Well, okay good person. You're now excused."

I got up from my seat, and started to leave his office.

"Wait, Jasmine!" I turned around.

"What?"

"I'm not telling you it's going to be easy, I'm telling you that it's going to be worth it."

I gave him a confused look. "Huh?"

"You know what I'm talking about when you're ready," he said. "Get to school."

I walked away, feeling lost and confused. Now his saying is in my mind now. What does he mean by that?
