"Relationships are like drugs they either kill you or give you the best feeling of your life."
It was an addiction,
You happened to be the drug.
Injected into my veins,
You effected my blood.
My heart was sewed shut,
How did you get into it?
It was wrecked beyond repair,
Why did it look like you were fixing it?
So when you left: you ripped open a hole,
Leaving scars on my soul.
I yearned for numbness,
Couldn’t deal with the pain.
For all that you tore apart,
What did you stand to gain?
Every wound inflicted,
Darling, it’s a permanent stain.
But tell me,
Am I wrong to blame?
My obsession, your denial,
My addiction, my mistake.
I'm telling you,
I let you in.
It's my mistake.
