My phone starts ringing for the 30th time today and I just ignore it as I continue to do my homework. It's Friday afternoon and I'm in my room trying to finish the ton of math homework I have. It's really hard to finish it when I keep getting texts and calls from none other than Tyler. I roll my eyes when another message pops up on my phone screen. I sigh and decide to click on Tyler's number. Tyler picks it up immediately.

"Alex! You finally answered!" He exclaims.

"Um yeah, I've been busy." I say which is half true.

"Oh, sorry if I disturbed you, about Monday-"

"Its fine, don't worry about it, I was just a little tired, you know Monday's right, ha ha." I awkwardly laugh into the phone and mentally groan and start banging my head again the wall.

"Is everything ok, you seem a little frazzled, did you want to go get some dinner with me tonight, you know as like friends." Tyler says. I got kind of excited when he said he wanted to get dinner with me, I sure as hell thought that he was asking me on a date but then he put me back in the friend-zone.

"Um, sure, yeah, like what time?" I say squinting my nose at how dorky I was being around him, I've never acted this way in front of a guy before, what's happening to me?

"I'll pick you up at 8pm." He says. "Alright, see you then, bye!" He says hanging up the phone rather quickly. Strange.

I look at the time. 6pm. 2 hours until he's coming. Definitely going to duck out to see Chloe and Kate.

I grab my phone and a selection of clothes I'm thinking of wearing and rush out of the house and start running frantically down the street like a mad women to Chloe and Kate's house. Once I arrive I knock on their door and Chloe and Kate's mum opens the door.

"Alex, how nice to see you again dear!"

"Hi Mrs Wilson, how are you?" I say.

"Very good thank you, the girls are upstairs." She says winking at me. I smile at her nodding my head as I rush upstairs. I open the door to Chloe's room and see Chloe sitting on her bed typing away on her laptop. She looks up as I open the door and immediately her eyes light up.

"Please tell me you're going on a date with Tyler." Chloe squeals.

"Did someone say date?" Kate says coming into Chloe's room clapping her hands excitedly. I roll my eyes and sigh sitting down on Chloe's bed.

"It's not a date just a casual dinner." I say to them truthfully.

"Alex! Stop pretending that there isn't something between you and Tyler, there is definitely some sort of spark. I roll my eyes for the millionth time today and set out my clothes on Chloe's floor.
