Jesse's pov

Jesse! Are you coming tonight?
Yeah Ems I wouldn't miss it for the world
Good cause there's a big surprise
Alright, but I don't know what's more surprising then you turning 21. You're not my baby sister anymore
You're an idiot Jesse
Love you, Em!

And with that I hang up the phone.

Beca's pov
I make my way to the elevator and get in pressing the button for the fifth floor. As I wait I decide to check my phones calander, "shit." I mumble under my breathe. I forgot all about that thing tonight and I can't miss it. The elevator opens and I unlock our door. "CHLOE!" I shout and like magic the ginger appears, "I need to go to a party thing tonight so... Can you go shopping for me?" I smile sweetly as she sighs and nods. As she leaves I make my way to my room dumping my laptop on my bed. I fling open my cupboard and start ripping through my clothes.

Jesse's pov
I walk into the venue that we've booked for Emily's 21st I smooth down my blue tux as she comes over to talk to me, "wow em, you look beautiful!"
She blushes and thanks me, "Jesse come and have a drink or something, I'm announcing the big surprise in 10 minutes!" She squeals and races behind the stage. I shake my head laughing as she runs away, she'll always be my baby sister, I think to myself as I walk over to the bar and sit down.

After awhile Emily taps the mic a few times, "hey everyone, thanks for coming!" She smiles receiving a round of applause, "I'm going to cut right to the chase, I've accepted an offer and I officially have a music producer who's helping me produce my first album!" She squeals and everyone cheers. I can't stay in my seat I run up on the stage and give my little sister a huge hug. As I pull away Emily moves back to the mic, "This lady is the best in the business, I'm sure many of you have heard of her, Beca Mitchell everybody!" I'm gobsmacked twice in one day? Beca walks on stage awkwardly giving a small wave before coming over and giving my sister a hug, "hey stranger." She whispers at me and I chuckle under my breath.

After a few more speeches it's back to the partying. I'm taken aback by how stunning Beca is, she's wearing a white dress and her make up is a lot lighter than earlier today. I'm so lost in a daydream that I didn't notice someone sit beside me, "stop staring, it's creepy." A familiar voice jokes, "I uhhh, sorry." I smirk at Beca, "it's just you look amazing!" I smile.
"You don't look to bad yourself, I never knew Em had a brother." She laughs as she grabs her drink from the bartender. "That's a bit strong don't you think Beca?"
"I'm a big girl," she smiles, "hey, how come I don't know your name yet, stranger?"
"It's Jesse" I say getting up from my seat, "care to dance?" I stretch an arm out to her. Beca shakes her head, "I don't dance... Jesse." She says seriously. I make a pouty face at her but she just sits there.

"Look, I'll make you a deal, weirdo," she says finishing her drink, "drive me home and you can crash on my couch. I may have had to many of these." I take her arm and help her out to my car. We drive in silence to Beca's apartment and when we arrive she lets us in. She goes straight to her bedroom and falls asleep so I decide to leave so she doesn't think she made any bad drunk decisions. I leave a little note on the front door and drive home.
