Tight Grip

"Alam niyo para kayong mga tanga kanina." Sabi ko sa taong tumabi sa akin.

As I am watching everybody dancing at the dance floor.

"Nakatingin lahat kayo sa akin. Buti na lang hindi niya napansin or should I say na pansin niya but she don't mind. She never change manhid pa din." Hindi ko maalis ang tingin sa isang pares na nag sasayaw sa dance floor. "I'm happy for her. They look good together. Right Anna?" saka koi to nilingon she's looking at the same direction that I am looking at kanina.

"They do." Sagot nito saka tumingin sa akin "And I am happy for her but I am happier kasi everything seems to be all okey now."

"I guess it just takes time."

"I prefer to say it takes someone to come para maging okey ang lahat."

I just smile on what she said.

"I somehow see her back to her old self again and thanks to the girl beside her." I see her look at the dance floor "I hope you are okey with that."

"There is nothing I can do about it." Sabi ko dito

"Ayoko ng mangyari yung ngyari dati, Alex."

"That everybody takes sides?"

"We don't take sides Alex we just choose who we should look after. You had Mika and Raffy and she only had me and Trisha at wala si Nicole be the equilibrium of the situation.

"I'm sorry" I said coz I think I step out of the line on what I just said.

Napabalik tingin ako sa dance floor. The way they look at each other is something na kahit ako nararamdan ko. I feel the love that transcend kahit na nakatingin lang sila sa isa't isa. The way the smile at each other it says a million words. The way the hold each other as if they don't want to let go. I wish..

My thoughts were cut off by Anna

"I hope whatever is on your mind please just keep it there."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"I might not be Mika to know what's running on your mind but I know everything around me."

"The perks of being an SC officer." I slightly laugh at what I said

"Im serious Alex."

I look at her "You don't have to remind me about that."

Natapos ang pag uusap namin ng isa isa ng nag akyatan ang mga kaibigan namin. And I spend all night drinking knowing na meron kaming training kinabukasan.

Naging busy kami as days pass sa pag pre-prepare para sa upcoming finals. Lahat kami ay naka focus para makuha namin ang championship title.

"Wag mo masyadong pagudin ang sarili mo. Don't forget to take rest." Medjo nagulat ako ng may narinig akong nag salita. All I know is that ako na lang ang mag isa dito sa gym.

"What are you doing here Nics?" tanong ko dito.

Nag lakad ito papunta sa akin at naupo sa tabi ko.

Nag papahinga kasi ako. Kakatapos ko lang kasi ng 100 jumpshot ko.

"Well ewan ko." Sabi nito "I just found myself outside the gym tapos narinig kong mag dri-drible so naisip kong pumasok." Sabi nito

Hindi na ako sumagot pag katapos kong marinig yung sinabi niya.

I'm just looking at the whole gym. This became my home for the past 5 years.
