Chris’ POV

Today felt as though it was going to be the shittiest day of my life, I wasn’t mistaken, well, about 50/50. I do enjoy making YouTube videos, it’s what I absolutely love, but sometimes even people who sit at home all day behind a computer have bad days, believe it or not. I went to the shops just to buy some milk and somebody hit my back and mumbled “faggot” and then when I got home there was a threatening note that had been posted under my door which read ‘stupid YouTube faggoty fag. Get a life. Get a job’ granted, it was only from my twisted neighbour Mr. Einaem (pronounced Eye-Neem. He’s an old lonely German guy. His wife died last year so he’s been trying to preoccupy himself with other things, the main thing being insulting me because all I do is make YouTube videos) normally I just laugh about it, after all, he is a lonely old man who needs his daily fix of fun, but for some reason today I let it get to me. I wasn’t having the best of days.

I decided that I really needed to go to Costa coffee, get a hot chocolate and just relax for a bit. I took my phone so that I could talk to my viewers, people actually watch my videos, and it still baffles me. But I am very grateful for it. I slipped my shoes back on and left. I arrived at Costa and it was pretty packed. I ordered my hot chocolate and they said it would be ready in five minutes, so I went to the toilet. When I came back my hot chocolate was ready, I took it, picked up a napkin and then headed towards a nice looking secluded table right at the back of the shop, but a nice looking guy who looked in his early twenties, with curly brown hair, stylish glasses, a long black waistcoat, skinny jeans and bright red shoes was making his way towards that table. I am not normally one to be rude, but I quickly darted towards the table and sat myself down. The second I looked at this charming stranger I regretted doing that, he had an angry yet disappointed look in his eye.

“Hey” I called. The stranger turned around.

“I’m sorry. Today’s been a pretty hectic day, I just wanted to sit down! You’re more than welcome to join me if you want to” I thought I’d kindly offer him a seat, he may be having a bad day too, and he looks friendly. He sat down almost immediately, smiling at me in the process.

“Thank you so much, you’re very kind. I’ve not had the best of days today myself” The curly haired stranger said in such a beautiful speaking voice. I was starting to feel things.... Weird things, about this guy. It might be too soon to tell, so I shook my head and continued smiling. I broke the ice with one of my favourite Dr. Seuss quotes, and perhaps something that would make him feel a little better.

“Well, we all have bad days sometimes. What you’ve got to remember is that they’re only days and they’ll be over soon. In the words of the great Dr. Seuss: Today was good, today was fun, tomorrow is another one!” I danced a little as I chanted the Dr. Seuss quote and we shared a laugh. I don’t think that the quote really fit the situation of a bad day, but I said it mainly for the last part. I think this handsome stranger picked up on that, because he continued to smile long after we’d stopped laughing. Wait.... Did I just call him handsome? No! Shake that thought. This stranger is being very nice and somehow he’s making me feel a bit better.

“OH!” He screamed all of a sudden, which made me jump. “My goodness. How awfully rude of me, I haven’t even introduced myself yet!” He continued, I giggled and told him that it was perfectly okay, but he introduced himself anyway. “My name is PJ.” He offered a hand out for me to shake, which I took.

“PJ? Nice name! I’m Chris” we shook hands.

“So PJ, what is it that you do?” I asked him, I was rather hoping that he would tell me he also made YouTube videos, he seemed like the type. Then maybe I could have a friend from YouTube!
