Chris’ POV

It was another day where I’d not gone to sleep the night before. PJ seemed really happy when he woke up at Dan and Phil’s, apparently the cushions piled on the floor made for quite a comfortable bed. We were the first two awake at the sleepover so I had my cup of coffee and PJ his tea and we sat down and had quite a nice chat, there was sod all on the telly. We agreed that we’d spend an entire day together, and today was that day. PJ had also said that listening to me and Phil chat helped him to drift off to sleep quite happily, my stomach jumped at that moment, had he heard me say to Phil that I thought I was falling in love with him? No, couldn’t bare thinking about it.

Today was different than the sleepover, we agreed to meet at 10am, so I didn’t have to wait so long, I’d finished my breakfast by 7:30 so I decided to go back to Vanilla Ice’s to tell Charisa all about the sleepover, she was really pleased for me and she was actually hoping that PJ had heard me say I was starting to fall for him. I had my usual and had about a 45 minute chat with Charisa and then by then it was time for me to go and meet PJ, we had agreed to meet at Hyde Park, and so I made my way there.

When I got there PJ was already waiting underneath the big oak tree, he had a massive smile on his face when he saw me and he gave me the tightest hug, I couldn’t help but wonder if maybe he felt the same way that I did, he was this happy the last time he saw me. But I didn’t want to think about that, today was just a nice, fun day for me and PJ, and I was determined to not let my feelings slip out at some point and ruin everything.

“It’s so great to see you again, Chris!” PJ said, pulling away from our hug.

I smiled the biggest smile “you too, PJ, very nice. It’s always nice to see you”.

We shared a smile for about a minute. Funny, I was expecting awkward silence, but the silence between PJ and me didn’t seem awkward at all.

“So, what would you like to do first?”He asked, extremely cheery.

“Well, I thought maybe we could just hang around the park for a bit, get some hot dogs or something. Then after that I want to take you to my favourite ice-cream bar, Vanilla Ice’s, one of my closest friends Charisa works there, she’s amazing, you’d love her! Then perhaps we could go to the arcade or the cinema or something?”

“Sounds wonderful! I think I’d prefer something relaxing later so the cinema sounds great, I’m not feeling too well today for some reason” PJ pulled a face.

“Oh dear, what’s wrong?”

“Just feel a bit sick and I have a bit of a headache, that’s all. It’s probably nothing, I didn’t get much sleep last night, normally if I don’t get enough sleep I get a bit sick the next day”

“Oh, well I’m sure you’ll be fine. The cinema sounds good to me too. I would actually love to go see finding Nemo in 3D, would that be okay?”

“Oh absolutely! I adore Disney films, especially finding Nemo”

“Great!” We giggled and then started walking through the park, it was a gorgeous day today, very hot. We went to get our hot dogs and PJ insisted on paying, but I paid for my hot dog anyway, it was only polite. We had so much fun and he was great to talk to. Throughout the day he said he didn’t feel much better, he was still feeling sick and his headache was apprently getting worse, I told him we could call it a day if he wanted to go home and rest, but he was really looking forward to finding Nemo, so we skipped going to see Charisa and went straight to the cinema. PJ said that the 3D glasses weren’t helping his headache so he went off to the bathroom.

I was starting to worry about him, what if this headache thing is something terrible? No, I couldn’t afford to think like that. If PJ saw that I was worried he’d probably start to worry himself. He came back after five minutes and said he was feeling a little better and he sat through the rest of the film with a smile.

When the film had finished, PJ said his headache was better but it wasn’t gone completely, so I walked him home and made sure he was okay. I made him some tea and on the way back we’d stopped at an off-license for some skittles and I left him. I was still worrying about him, but the day was still wonderful, and there was no doubt about it now, I was completely in love with PJ.
