((Author's Note: Eeeey, guess who's back? :D anyway, please enjoy this, i apologize in advance if it's kinda long! ^^;  And I want it noted that I haven't been to a county fair in almost ten years , so I'm sorry if I mix up some stuff.))

Everyone was starting to get kinda antsy. They'd all been cooped up too long inside their house. Admittedly, none of them really knew how to interact with non-SBURB/SGRUB players anymore (if they ever did in the first place).

Jade came bouncing inside, waving a letter around, "Guess what?!"

Dave lifted his head from Karkat's lap, yawning, "Down girl. There's no reason to be that excited."

Jade pouted, "C'mon! Guess what guys?"

Gamzee tipped his head, "Do we have to guess or can you just tell us?"

"FINE!" Jade groaned, "You're all BORING. But thiiis will fix it!" She tore open the letter and held it out.

Karkat squinted, "...What the ever loving fuck nuggets is a county fair?"

Dirk, Roxy, and all of the trolls present looked baffled.

"It's like a circus but they have other things too! Usually county fairs are pretty small but they're fun! Or...so I've heard." Jade grinned.

"You've never been to one?" Dave frowned.

"Well...who HAS?" Jade looked around.

John looked down and squirmed before standing up to leave. He was the only one who had a fairly "normal" childhood. He really didn't want to be bombarded with a million questions about fairs.

As soon as he did, the questions were launched.

"Wwhat's it like?"

"What'th there to thee?"

"Is there food?"

"What kind of ride's do they have?"

"What're the rides like?"

John took several steps back, "Eheheheh." He gave a weak smile and continued stepping back, "W-well, they're uh....uh...."

Dave jumped in front of John, "Everyone BACK UP." he frowned. Everyone who had jumped up to ask John questions sat down slowly. Dave turned to John, "You OK?"

"Y-yeah! Why wouldn't I be?" John grinned weakly.

"Because you started stammering and stepping back." Dave replied. John looked down. Dave placed a hand on John's shoulder, "Wanna talk about it privately or no?"

John shook his head, "I'm...fine! I'm fine, I swear." John lifted his head and smiled. Dave frowned before nodding slowly. John quickly explained what he remembered about his first (and last) trip to the fair.

Dirk watched John as he talked. He was obviously in distress, he just didn't want to admit it. It was probably because it was a happy memory of his dad. Also, John had a serious fear of clowns and clowns did tend to hang out around fairs and circuses, according to what he was talking about.

The fact that John was the only one who had a normal childhood made Dirk question how he'd survived the Game. Almost everyone present had been raised in an environment where they were forced to fight and survive on a daily basis. John was severely sheltered and knew very little about how things actually worked. How did he even manage to survive?!

After a few minutes of talking, John excused himself and locked himself in his room. Why was that so stressful?! They were his friends (minus the trolls who died before everyone met up and Vriska, who was really mean to him now). He sighed, flopped onto his bed, and pulled the covers up. He took his glasses off, put them on the nearby nightstand and dozed off.
