Tabitha
Tabby it's time to get up. You need to get ready for graduation. Your mom's on her way here and Renee already got the boys ready.
I get up and fixing my hair and makeup then pull my dress on and grab my purse shoving my phone in it. Then a car pulls up outside so walk out to see Jared in his suit so I smile and run out hugging him.
Well it's about time you came home.
He smiles hugging me.
Sorry momma, I've been so busy. You know how busy we get. Look at you, I've seen pictures but wow.
I laugh lightly.
I'm just glad you're home. I leave tomorrow. The boys can't come with me until I get their birth certificates and I don't know how long that'll be so Erik's going to watch them with Renee and my parents
He nods understanding.
Are you gonna be able to leave them that's long?
I sigh not wanting to.
I have to. I have to do all I can until I finish college to provide a future for them. He shakes his head.
I don't know. If you go and it gets to hard you just tell them you can't do it and come home to the babies. You have the money to finish college and stay home.
Okay poppa.
We smile at each other but Renee looks at me then him and the boys so I shake my head and she grins.
Are you ready to go momma?
I just have to get the boys into their seats.
Renee speaks up then.
Oh no you go ahead we'll bring the boys. You have a lot to do and they'll just be in the way.
I frown but I know she's right so I kiss them both and we walk to his car. I start to get in when Erik walks out dressed to a tea and heads to his car then nods over at us with a grin on his face before he takes off. I know he has to be at the graduation service early to help set up. We get in but I have him take me to the social security office then we run to the license bureau.
Tabby what are we doing? Are you getting some last minute papers?
Jared asks so I laugh.
Jared you have to keep a secret until I want people to know.
He frowns not liking secrets.
You know I don't like secrets or lies.
Fine I won't tell you. Let's go graduate.
He sighs giving in.
No, tell me. I won't have you keeping secrets from me.
I laugh.
Well my last name just changed. I'm a Baker now but I think he was to drunk to remember.
He pulls over grabbing my hand.
I didn't pay any attention to the ring before but are you crazy?! You have to tell him!
He demands but I shake my head pulling my hand away.
Not yet. I will but not yet and you're not either. As my friend you won't betray me right?
He groans and looks at my hand shaking his head.
