My stomach lurched

as the smells wafted

up my nostrils.

I threw up once-

then twice-

and then a third time.

Just like with Maddox- morning sickness, but why?

I wasn't pregnant.

Luke had already left for work-

and we even lived in our own

apartment now.

The wedding was scheduled for October of this year.

Just two weeks left.

We had made our final decisions already-

the dress, the tuxedo

the rings, and the flowers.

Melissa would be our flower girl-

and Luke's nephew Donovan- our ring bearer.

I threw up again-

no more appetite.

And decided to see-

why.

A pregnancy test

was bought by me

at the local store.

Minutes later-

positive?

but that couldn't be true.

I couldn't have children-

I tried another time.

Positive?
