It's funny what the humans name their sports teams. Maybe if the Courts visited every once in a while they'd also see what simple pleasures the humans have found by making fun of the supernatural culture. In only the two months he had been here he had already seen several movies about Hell, demons, and Heaven. Even though their depictions were quite visionary; they were extremely wrong in what they really were. Hell, given a bad name by its predecessor, is not as 'hellish' as one would expect. No raging lava pits or mountains made of bones, there is no long line of souls or torture chambers-however there is a river but it's more for decoration. Demons are less of pests and more like security guards at a maximum security prison, however they love to leave their posts every once in a while and it was the Grim Reapers (their bosses in this situation) who dragged them back to where they belong. The souls trapped there repent for what they did wrong over and over again till they correct their mistake. However before the war the sentence was that they had to relive their worst memory again and again till they mended the situation in their favor and then and only then were they allowed back into the gates of Heaven.

But this was about sports, Lucius knew some of them like swimming which had been around for ages even before it was turned into competition, soccer, a game he had played with other Reapers on their single day of sunlight; cricket, baseball, tennis-he all got to know whether or not he knew how to play them-but American football, that was one he never was entertained by. Trey, Zaden, and Macy were always blabbering about it who won and loss; the Trojans apparently came from the Iliad and lost to the Mountain Lions last week, the Panthers over took the Sharks on Monday, while the some game between a Viking and a Stealer ended last night; but other than that he refused to go to their school games and was stubborn enough not to listen while Zaden put on Sportscenter as back ground noise. So he was less than thrilled to be asked-no, ordered-to go to Trey's football game.

"Why," complained Lucius as he looked in the small cabinet, he could had sworn Trey put the cereal back in the lower shelf when he slept over last time. Did Zaden move it again?

"Because Macy and I are going," Zaden informed, "and Mark is going to be on the field so you won't have to sit next to him." That didn't matter to Lucius; he still had to watch that demon play. If he could rip that damned thing out of that poor man's body he would but unfortunately he could barely stand to be within a five mile radius of that pitiful excuse for one of Hell's soldiers.

"But why does that mean I have to go?" Lucius asked, only half paying attention to their conversation, "Did you move the cereal again, Zaden?"

"It's behind the ramen." The roommate stated as he crossed his arms, "So are you really not going to go?"

"Why do you always hide things?" wondered the Reaper as he leaned down and took the blue cereal box out of the lowest cabinet, "And yes, why would I go to a game I don't play in?" A selfish thought but Lucius could never find the patience or the attention span to watch hours worth of sports. He couldn't memorize player numbers, names, or stats-let alone actually understand what in the world is going on, on the field.

"Because Trey is playing," Zaden pointed out, knowing that name had certain powers over his friend. To say Lucius and Trey and grown close over the course of their study session would be correct. However, unlike Macy or his roommate Zaden, the two would see each other outside of their tutoring lessons and class. They'd occasionally go out for drinks, a walk, or a movie. Once they got caught by Trey's girlfriend, Peyton Gord, needless to say-Lucius showed great self restraint that night, "He was hoping you'd come."

Those words made Lucius stop and consider the options. If he went he'd make Trey happy, if he didn't he'd have to deal with his friend questioning his absence. Truthfully he didn't care who won and by whatever means necessary to do so, just as long as he didn't have to hear about it the next day. "I'll try to go." Amended Luciano as he poured the cereal into plastic bowl, "And can you please stop moving the food around? I hate to go on treasure hunts early in the morning."
