The Hunter's Choice

Elena's pov

I watched their reactions as I told them that there was a demon after my children. The two girls Katherina and Dariela looked shocked and worried. The two guys Jeremy and Nathan looked a little shocked. "What are you?" Jeremy asked me.

"Excuse me?" that was kind of rude. I've just told him that  demon is after my children and he asks me what i am?

"What are you? Humans don't know about us. Only supernatural creatures know about us."

I took a deep breath. I should have seen this coming. Of course they would want to know what I am.

"I'm half angel, half witch. I used to be half angel,quarter witch and quarter human but i lost my human part when i became pregnant with the twins."

"Half angel,half witch? I've never heard of one of them or met one. I don't think anyone has"

I looked at my lap. I needed to know if they would help me.

"So? Will you help me? The rest of my family are on board all we need is you guys because you know how to kill the son of a bitch"

Nathan looked at me. "So what are the rest of your family?"

"Damon, Jake, Jordan, Lindsay and Luke are vampires. Molly is half vampire, half werewolf and my brother Matt is half angel, quarter witch and quarter human"

"So which one is your children's father? If you don't mind me asking"

"Damon is the twins father"

"What are their names?" Katherina asked

"The twins?" she nodded. "Cyra Katerina Smith and Kai Calix Smith"

"Uh. I just need to talk to my family a minute. Just wait here. We won't be long"  Nathan said. I nodded.

10 Minutes Later

Nathan, Jeremy, Katherina and Dariela walked back into the room and sat down. "Okay." Katherina began. "We'll help you. But first we want to meet the rest of your family"

"Sure. Thank you. Do you want to meet them now?"

Dariela nodded. I followed Nathan and his family out of the house.

"Those your wheels?" Nathan asked pointing to Damon's 1967 Chevrolet Impala.

I shook my head. "No. That's Damon's car"

"Oh. It's a nice car" I smiled.

I got into the car and started the engine. Nathan, Jeremy and Dariela got into the car behind me. There was a knock on the passenger window. It was Katherina. I rolled down the window.

"Mind if i ride with you?" she asked

"Sure, hop in" she opened the passenger door and got in.

"Thanks"

"No problem"

We had been driving for ten minutes in silence. Nathan was following behind us. "Does Nathan actually want to help?"

Katherina giggled. "He does. It's just the last time he worked a case with a supernatural being his mom died so he has trouble trusting them."

"So you don't have the same mom?

"No. Only Jeremy and Nathan have the same mom. They're full brothers. Me and Dariela have the same dad and the same mom but not the same mom as Jer and Nath. So we are only half sisters to them. We all have the same dad. He died five years ago on a hunt"

"Oh. I'm sorry. My parents died over two years ago. I watched them die"

"Oh my God! That's awful! How...how did they die? If you don't mind me asking"

I took a deep breath and held back the tears.

"Over two years ago there was this guy. His name was Marcus. He was obsessed with me. He kidnapped me when i was pregnant. My grandfather Gabriel was working with him. It turned out that Gabriel hates vampires and really despised Damon, especially after I revealed that I was pregnant. The day after Marcus kidnapped me he took me to a clearing outside of his house. He had one of his wolves hold me down. He forced me to watch as he killed my parents. I watched as he tore my fathers heart from his chest and i watched as he slit my mothers throat. Then, I killed him with a spell. I stopped him from breathing. Damon had to break me out of the trance"

Tears were welling up in my eyes as I said this. I looked at Katherina and saw that she was on the brink of tears. A tear slowly slid down her cheek.

I pulled up into the drive of my three story home. Nathan pulled in behind me. Me and Katherina got out of the car and so did Nathan, Jeremy and Dariela.

"Nice house" Jeremy said.

"Thanks. Come with me and you can meet the rest of the family" they followed me to the front door. I opened the front door and instantly heard someone running towards me. "MOMMY!!" Cyra ran towards me and i held my arms open and picked her up when she got to me. She kissed my cheek. "I missed you mommy"

"I missed you too Cyra. Why don't you say hello to our guests. This is Nathan, Jeremy, Katherina and Dariela." I said pointing to each one as i said their names. Cyra waved to them an they waved back. "Where's your daddy, Kai and everyone else?" i asked her.

"Outside in the garden. Are you and your friends coming outside with us?"

"Of course we are sweetie" Katherina replied in a sweet voice.

They followed me as we led them to the garden. I don't think they had much choice. As soon as I put Cyra down she grabbed Katherina's hand and Nathan made a snide comment about her making a new friend. I slid the patio door open. "Mommy's home!!" Kai ran towards me and I held my arms open for him and bent down and he ran into my arms.

Cyra practically dragged Katherina over to where Molly and Matt were standing. I stood up still holding Kai and I introduced him to everyone and he waved and they waved back at him.

"Elena. Thank God you're home. These kids have been driving me crazy and i'm not just on about the twins and Katie" I smiled as Damon stood in front of me. He pecked my cheek before looking behind my shoulder. "Are these the hunters?"

"Yeah. Damon this is Nathan, Jeremy, Dariela and the girl with Cyra is Katherina. Everyone this is Damon" Damon shook hands with the three that were still stood behind me.

This was the beginning of our time with the hunters.
