Chapter 6

Jeremy's pov

Katherina, Elena and a man i didn't recognise walked in the room. Katherina had a child in her arms. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying. The child had dark hair like Katherina's. Elena whispered something in her ear before sitting down in the middle of Damon and Nathan.

"Kath is everything okay? Why have you been crying and who is this guy? And more importantly, who's the kid?"

"Jer, i'm fine. This is Amias and this is Breccan, my son" me and Nathan laughed at the last part. Her son. Yeah right, Katherina was to young to have a son. She was just messing with us.

The child lifted his head from Katherina's shoulders and turned his head to face us. My eyes widened, he had her eyes. She was telling the truth. The child was hers. He looked at Katherina. "Mommy, who are these people? Why are they all staring at me?"

"Breccan sweetie, this is your family. I guess. See that man there" she pointed at me. He nodded. "That's your uncle Jeremy and that girl sat next to him" she pointed to Dariela. "That's your aunt Dariela and that man sat there" she pointed to Nathan "That's your uncle Nathan" she pointed to everyone else and introduced them. Katherina put Breccan down. "Go say hi to everyone" she told him. He looked around cautiously, everyone's eyes were on him. He ran straight to Elena and sat on her lap. He curled up in her lap and rested his head on her chest. Katherina looked at them and smiled.

"Kath. What the hell? You have a son and you didn't think to tell us? How old is he?"

"He should be eight now but he died and Amias brought him back, tonight"

I looked at the man stood next to Katherina, he must be Amias.

"How long did he get?" the one thing i knew about crossroad demons were that they always wanted the soul of whoever they made a deal with.

"Six months"

"Six months?! That's not long. In fact that's the shortest amount of time a crossroads demon has given anyone"

"It was worth it to bring my son back"

"He's yours?" he nodded. "Kath you were sixteen. How old was he when Breccan was born?"

"I was eighteen when Breccan was born"

Nathan's pov

Me and Jeremy traded looks. We had just found out that our baby sister has a baby.

I was trying to control my anger. Katherina looked at me and realised how angry i was.

"Uh guys could me, my brothers, sister and Amias talk private for a sec?" they got up and left.

Elena still had hold of Breccan. He was fast asleep in her arms. Me, Jeremy, Dariela, Katherina and Amias were the only ones left in the room. Katherina sat down next to me and Amias sat in an armchair opposite us.

"Kath, why didn't you tell us sooner?" Dariela asked.

"I was scared"

"Scared?" i asked her.

"Yes. I was scared of what you would you think of me. I was afraid that you would think I was a slut and kick me out of the house"

"What?!" me and Jeremy said at the same time. "Kath we would never do that to you. You're our sister. You should have told us. We would have helped you" I told her.

"He's right Kath. We would've helped you if you had told us. Is that why we didn't see you for nearly a year when you were sixteen, because you were pregnant?" Dariela asked her. Katherina nodded.

"It's going to be okay Kath. Everything is going to be fine" Jeremy and Dariela walked over to where we were sat and we all hugged her. "I'll uh, give you guys some privacy" We looked up and Amias was walking out of the room.

I watched him as he walked out of the room. There was something off about him but i didn't know what. I was going to find out. No matter what i had to do, i would find out.
