The Hunted (Sequel to My Vampire Mate)

Training

Nathan's pov

We were all stood on the grass in Elena's back garden. Jeremy and Matt had set up some targets at the end of the garden for us to shoot at. I pulled my gun out of my belt and aimed it at the target. "You should hold the gun like this so you can see where you are aiming" I said. I switched off the safety and shot the target five times.

Elena's pov

"Dude. That was awesome!" Matt yelled. I looked at him and rolled my eyes. He always wanted to learn how to shoot a gun but never had the time.

Six Hours Later

It had been a long day. The hunters had shown us all how to shoot a gun and use various other weapons. Now we were all sat in the kitchen talking while the kids were in the front room with Ruby. She still didn't know what was going on but she needed to know now before it was too late. I would have to sit her down and tell her when I get chance.

"Okay so today was only the first training session. We'll have another one tomorrow. If we are going to kill this demon we need more people. Which is why I'm going to call some friends of ours to help us kill this son of a bitch" Nathan said.

I nodded. No matter how much training we had we would need more people. If only my grandfather Michael was here to help us.

That's it! Michael could help us! All I had to was call for him.

"I have an idea of how we could get even more people to help us" as soon as those words left my mouth everyone stared at me intently wondering what I would say next. I looked over at Damon and he instantly understood who I was on about.

Before anyone else could say anything Damon uttered one word that would change everything. "Michael" Jeremy looked at Damon with raised eyebrows.

"Michael? Who's Michael?"

"He's my grandfather and... an arch angel"

"Wait. The arch angel Michael is your grandfather" this time it was Dariela who spoke. I looked at her and nodded. "Well this should be a great reunion"

"Reunion?" Molly asked in a shocked tone. "You know Michael?"

"Oh we know Michael all to well. We met him while working a case a few years ago. He explained who he was and why he was there. He helped us kill a demon. That was the first time we met an angel. Before that I thought they didn't exist but then we met Michael" we all listened intently as Nathan explained how they knew Michael.

Then there was a crash in the front room and we all ran in worried for the children. The man who stood there was very familiar even though it had been two years since I saw him he hadn't changed at all. "Michael. Its great to see you again"

"Hello Elena. Its great to see you. Now where are my great grand kids that you were expecting last time I saw you?"

"They are sat right there. Michael I would like you to meet my children and your great grandchildren Cyra Katerina Smith and Kai Calix Smith" 

"They're beautiful. Cyra looks like you Elena and Kai looks like you Damon"

"Its great to see you Michael"

"You too Damon. Well if it isn't the hunters who I helped a few years ago. Its lovely to see you." they nodded once to say hi. "So why don't you get me caught up on this demon business?"

"Take a seat and we will tell you everything"

 A/N: Hey guys. Sorry I haven't updated in for a while. I've been really busy sorting stuff out for my prom. I know this chapter is short but I will try to make the next one longer.
