Unexpected - Chapter 31

- Elizabeth's P.O.V -

I wake up to find the man staring at me still. I was on his bed and under the covers as I wasn't well after what Kai did to me. Soon my sight started to clear. "D-Damon? ... You s-saved me?", I asked stuttering. "I did, I'm worried about you Elizabeth and when I heard that you were in trouble. I knew I had to save you", he explained. I kissed his cheek and he weakly smiled. "How long have I been here?", I asked. "You been here for a couple of days but don't worry.. I've been here for you", Damon said holding my hand and his thumb rubbing my hand.

Damon stood up, kissed my head and went to get me some food to eat and a drink for me to sip. I was happy that Damon was my hero the one who saved me. He is so sweet and caring which like him more.

- Damon's P.O.V -

I'm glad to see Elizabeth smiling, it makes me happy. She cheers me up before but now I'm somehow cheering up, which surprises me. I'm not good doing that but hey, at least she smiling.

A couple of weeks past and Elizabeth was back her house. She hasn't been in there for a long time since Klaus knows where she is, Kol wanting her to love him back and Kai who attacked her. She wanted to go in but her things were at Bonnie's house and she couldn't go the Salvatore's household after an argument with the younger brother.

* Flashback *

It's been many days since, Damon saved Elizabeth from what Kai did to her. She was slowly healing and he let her sleep in this bed until she was 100% healed. She loved that Damon stayed with her to make sure that she was well fed, kept happy and smiling. He gave her privacy for bathroom breaks and when friends visit and cuddled up with her many times if she felt cold or had a horrible nightmare. Damon was glad to look after her as he loves her dearly and Stefan was alright with it but he feels like it's too much. He tried to keep it in everytime he sees his brother looking after Elizabeth. Stefan did share his true feelings with the others. He kept his feelings under cover. Soon enough, he blew up and had a argument with Damon. Elizabeth over heard it and knew what to do,.... leave. "Elizabeth!", Damon called out but she already left, running away in tears.

*End of Flashback*

Elizabeth sat down on the porch and looked at the sky wondering what to do. She stood up and started to walk to Bonnie's house. All of a sudden, a pair of arms wrapped round her and a hand places over her mouth. "I finally found you", he said. He moved his hand off her mouth. Elizabeth recognised the voice. "...Kol", she breathed. "That's me", he said smiling. She tried to struggle out his arms but he held her close and tight. "Aren't you happy to see darling?", he asked. She sighed and pushes down on his arms. "So that's a no?", he asked, raising an eyebrow. "Let me go and I will answer Kol", she muttered. "How about I say... no?", he said leaning close to her ear. "I won't tell you then", she said looking away. "Fine, I'll get the answer out of you soon enough", he said. Before, she can speak, Kol lifted her into his arms and speeded off to a place. "Where are you taking me?", she said using her fist hitting his chest gently. He places Elizabeth down and took hold of her hand. "Let go of my hand, Kol", she said. He rolled his eyes and pulled her into the place, it was a bar. She knew it was familiar, he smiled at her.

A while later, Kol was loving life but Elizabeth wasn't exactly the same. The bartender looked at her and noticed not having a great time. He asked Elizabeth if she was fine and asked why wasn't happy but then Kol butted in and exclaimed, "Darling!". Kol wrapped his arms around her waist and kisses her cheek. The bartender looked at them weird thinking they were a couple. "Are you two-?", Kol cut the bartender off saying, "Dating? ... We are". Kissing Elizabeth's cheek again. She stamped on his foot and moved away from Kol. "Actually we're not", she said. "Ouch! You hurt me darling", he said looking at her slightly angry. "Good", she smirked. Kol speeded over to Elizabeth close any space around so she wouldn't escape. He turned her around slamming her body on the wall. "Gosh, I love the way you smirk. It turns me on", Kol said softly smirking. Elizabeth rolled her eyes looking away. "You're mine", he whispered in her ear. Chills crawled down her back making her gasp for breath. "Kol...", she breathed out. He looked at her face smiling, "Yes darling?". "Why are you doing t-this?", she stuttered. Kol wrapped his arms around her waist and his head laid on her shoulder. He moved closer to her neck and kissed it a few times. "Now, would you like a drink?", he asked her. "I would love one", she said with her heart pounding like crazy. Kol went back to the bar for the drinks whilst Elizabeth catches her breath and sent a text.

Later that night, Kol was happy seeing Elizabeth smiling and having another drink. Soon enough they left the place. He took hold of Elizabeth's hand and looked at her. She pulled her hand back and looked at him. "Kol, why did you do this?", she asked him. He didn't answer. Elizabeth asked him again but still no answer. She grabbed his arm and shook him a little. "Answer me Kol!". He grabbed her arms and pulled her closely to his chest. She heard his heart beating faster than usual. "Does this answer your question?", Kol said trying not to look at her. Elizabeth weren't sure if it did. "Well?", he said. She looked up at his face and noticed he was breathing heavily. "You ....", she started to speak but he cut her off saying, "I love you Elizabeth". Elizabeth was startled and stood there in shock. She felt light headed and her sight started to blur and then she fainted. Kol grabbed her in time. He took her back to his place and placed her down on the bed sofa gently.

"I loved you ever since we met and I don't regret being in love with you. You're too special to me".
