My name is Raven Norm. I just moved to this small town called Logan. I really didn't want to move but my parents said it was for the best, since my mom and dad both got laid off.
"We already have jobs lined up for us there," My dad told me. I huffed and stomped my floor, "I DON"T CARE IF YOU HAD A MILLION DOLLARS THERE! I DON"T WANT TO LEAVE PAIGE!"
Paige was my best friend since kindergarten. We have done everything together for 17 years. Why do my parents want to take that away? I have no idea how I'll survive without her. "Rave! Don't raise your voice at your father! Do you hear me young lady," shouted my mother.
"Yes, mom. But I still don't see why I have to go with you guys! I can take care of myself and stay here while you guys go and get jobs," I stated. My mom just shook her head and looked at my dad for help. "Can we please talk about this before you say you don't want to go?" My dad asked calmly. "NO! I'm staying here. One way or another," with that said I turned around and slammed my bedroom door.
I heard my mom knock on my door softly, before she walked in. "Honey, we think once we move to Logan, you'll finally find your mate there. Can you please consider going with us?" She pleaded. I groaned. Why did they want me to find a mate so bad? I only just found out that I was a werewolf a couple months ago when I shifted. I wanted to tell Paige but she wouldn't understand, since she's only human. I also didn't tell Paige cuz I didn't want her to think I was a freak and stop being my friend.
"Fine! I'll go as long as its ok for me to come here every weekend and once during the week," I said while crossing my arms over my chest. My mom sighed but agreed and walked out. I sat on my bed with a smirk on my face. I sat like that for a few minutes till I had to call Paige and let her know this horrible news but somewhat good news. She picked up on the first ring.
"Hey chick! I was wondering when you were gonna call and come over! I missed you!" She yelled over the phone. I laughed, "I just left there this morning. And I have some serious bad news with a little good news." "WHAT?! Do you have a boyfriend and he got you pregnant?" She wondered. "NO! but that might actually be better than what I do have to say," I heard her hold her breathe waiting for me to tell her what could possibly worse than that. "I'm moving to Logan. That's like 2 hours away, but I can come see you one time during the week and every weekend!" I said into the phone and waited for her to respond.
"I'm so coming with you! You can't just leave me here, Rave! I'd go insane and become this really depressed chick without my conjoining hip sister," I heard the smile creep up on her lips. I laughed and said I'd ask. "I'm just kidding, but you better come see me every day! I still need a prom dress and shoes! You better still be able to go with me." I couldn't believe she was so calm about this. "Of course I'm still going to the prom with you! I wouldn't just leave you dateless when we planned to go with each other since freshmen year." Then after about two minutes of talking about the boys we liked we hung up. I got some suit cases out and a couple boxes and started packing.
