Coopers POV
I watched her and Velma unpack all her things. I know I'm being a creeper right now, but I just can't help it. I know she's my mate but her dad doesn't like me because of my past. It doesn't matter how many times I tell him it wasn't my fault, he just doesn't want to hear it. So for now until I can get her to notice me, I have to stay away and protect her at a distance.
I keep looking over my shoulder and to my sides, making sure no one sees me spying on the future Luna. If anyone catches me and tells Alpha Will, I'll be a dead man or at least wanting to be a dead man. I just want to run into her room and gather her up in my arms and tell her how I feel. But I must wait until she turns eighteen so she'll know for sure and she'll confirm that we are mates and that I don't have a sick fetish with her.
I believe it in my heart that we are mates, because every time she's in a close distance from me I can smell her really strongly, Watermelon and lilacs, and you can only smell that strongly if you are mates. But once the Alpha told me that she is indeed full blooded Alpha, she could be really strong and sense her mate sooner. I just hope my gut is telling me the truth that we are mates cause if we aren't I'm gonna be really heartbroken when she finds him.
Because even if I'm not her mate I'll still have to protect her at all times. I snapped out of my thoughts when I see Raven and Velma get up real fast, and then I saw that it was just her father. He was probably telling them that Velma had to leave for the night but could come back tomorrow if she wanted too. I waited for Velma to walk out the front door before I turned and walked away.
Once Velma was far enough away from the house she stopped and whistled, that was our secret code that she was ready to talk about what happened.
I stepped out of the woods and looked at her, wondering when she'd start talking. She just looked back at her apartment and started walking toward it, so I knew she had something good to tell me. Once we reached her apartment I sat down on her coach while she took off her jacket.
"Well, what news do you have to tell me?" I said, impatiently. She laughed, "Just calm down. She has noticed you; she was asking me all about you. She wanted me to tell her everything that I knew about you. Don't worry I didn't tell her everything but I did tell her what you did whenever the lady's ask you if you wanted to go out or hook up and she was shocked. So she at least knows that you're waiting for this special girl, and here's the kicker, when I told her that you knew who it was but didn't want to say I saw a little bit of jealousy in her, so I think she has feelings for you, but I'm not sure so I'm gonna take her out tomorrow and show her all the hot guys," She said and I growled. She laughed and continued, "don't get your panties in a bunch! I just want to know if she gets jealous of all the guys who have a special someone. So I'm gonna show her the hot mated guys and some hot unmated guys to see."
Once she was done talking about her plan I was dumbfounded. I just sat there and hugged her. "You are truly a genius! I would have never thought of that in a million years! You are the bestest friend EVER!" I shouted and hugged her again. "Ok, don't go soft on me now, Cooper," She chuckled. "Not in a million years," I said.
