Amber Riley was never someone who got angry at things easily, but this was a big deal and she couldn't help but feel the rage take over her body. As she paced up and down in her dressing room, she kept her deadly glares fixated on her manager. The poor guy only shook his head in surrender; he didn't know that forgetting to mention who she was going to be a guest with on the Jimmy Kimmel show would cause this much trouble; actually he thought she would be joyful to reunite with her former dance partner Derek Hough, but apparently he thought wrong. Amber knew that she was not overreacting; this interview was very important to her, she was promoting her new album and she wanted to do everything right, but having Derek by her side was going to make her lose focus. The man had hurt her badly; it took her months to get over him, and now she would have to see him and pretend nothing was wrong? That would suck. She still didn't even know what she had done wrong to deserve his cold actions, and it almost killed her. When she had won dwts, she thought everything was going to be great for both of them; she thought after weeks of subtly flirting with her that he was gonna finally ask her out and she couldn't wait for that to happen because she liked him too, she liked him too much. However, that perfect story never happened; instead, he just started ignoring her completely, he stopped calling her back, texting her, meeting up with her. Despite all of that, she still forgave him and believed that he was busy, and she waited. She waited for too long for him to call her, to just friendlily ask how she was doing, but he didn't do that. He utterly deleted her from his life; that hurt more than a knife stab, she spent so many nights crying her eyes out over him, but he never redeemed himself. Eventually, she got back on her feet, and used all of her heartache to produce good music and take care of her body and health. She was finally happy, but now she would have to see him again on live television and she wasn't sure if she could handle it.

Someone suddenly knocked on the door, Amber sighed and settled down on a chair as her managed opened the door. A redheaded woman walked inside the room, she was smiling and seemed really happy. Amber could tell she was a staff member based on what she was wearing.

"Miss Riley, you're up in ten minutes. You should head backstage." She said.

"Okay. I'll be there in a second." Amber tried her best to sound normal, but that was hard because she felt like throwing up and her heart was hurting.

The woman left, and Amber turned instantly to her manager.

"I need to be alone. Can you leave please?" She asked him sternly.

"Okay, but please don't do anything stupid." He begged.

"Stop being a drama queen. I just need a moment to compose myself." She rolled her eyes at him. She knew she was being mean, but she didn't care. She was too frustrated to care about his feelings.

"Fine, Amber, fine." He sighed before exiting the room.

She was now left alone. Taking one look at the mirror was enough to help her regain her confidence. Her long black hair amazingly fell down her bare shoulders, her makeup was perfectly done, and she had never felt sexier wearing a figure-hugging strapless black dress. She had lost quite the weight after dwts, but she still had curves and she liked them. She knew she looked good, and that was all she needed to go out there and slay. As for Derek, she just decided to ignore him.

"Our next guest rose to fame playing Mercedes Jones on the hit tv show glee, she proceeded to win season seventeen of dancing with the stars, and now she has released her very first album, self titled 'Amber'. Let's all welcome the beautiful and the talented Amber Riley."

She heard Jimmy Kimmel introduce her and once he was done she instantly walked into the studio. Everyone was clapping and cheering for her. She just waved smilingly at the audience before giving Jimmy a quick friendly hug. Then, her eyes met those blue ones and she almost lost control and ran away. He looked exactly the same, even more handsome, she thought. He smiled largely at her before wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her in for a hug. She was confused for a second before she remembered that they were on tv and they had to pretend to be friends, so she she quickly hugged him back. She realized how much she had missed his embrace, his smell, the way his body felt against hers. God, she missed him. Tears wear threatening to fall down her cheeks, but she swallowed them. They pulled away at the same time, sitting down. She was next to Jimmy while Derek sat a bit aback. His interview was over.
