Jason walks into my bedroom the following Sunday evening when he returns from a friend's house that he stayed over at to avoid my dad knowing he'd been drinking. "You broke the rules, Kimmi."

"What? I didn't do it on purpose and it wasn't even my fault." I didn't really even speak to Jason that night, "How would you know anyway?"

"Word spreads around, Kim, and let's just say the rumours I've been hearing better not be true."

"Rumours? What rumours are you talking about?" I panic.

"Well," He walks over to the chair next to my desk and gets comfortable as I sit upright on my bed, "rumour one is really no secret that you were completely drunk last night."

"I was, but it was by accident, some girls in your grade spiked my drink, I didn't even realise." I justify.

"Okay, I'll let that one slide. Rumour number two: You hooked up with Owen Mayhew. Seriously?"

"No! I didn't, that's not true. Well, there's truth behind it but-"

"What do you mean?" He asks.

"I mean he tried to kiss me and stuff but then Noah came and saved me."

"Which brings me swiftly to rumour number three: that you had sex with Noah McConnell."

"What? That's horrendous!"

"But that would never happen, you haven't even kissed a guy let alone slept with one." he laughs then turns serious, "Have you?"

"No, of course not! Who would come up with rumours like that?" I ask Jason.

"Well, technically the first one is true so you know - fair enough. The second and third ones could have been anyone that Owen spoke to or told, or it could even have been him."

"This is terrible."

"Right now it may seem that way, but tomorrow, both our years will be buzzing with this gossip."

"What are you talking about?"

"Noah McConnell."

"Right, rumour number three so I'll seem like a skank or something." I roll my eyes.

"Maybe, but your business with him is about to become everybody's."

"And by that you mean?"

"He's the quarterback." Alright, this I did not know. Noah's the quarterback which basically means all the girls must be falling at his feet. I can't believe this. Have I possibly just made enemies with every teen girl that attends Oak Grove?
