"So did he say anything else to you?" Poppy asks and I shake my head.

"I think you should." I hear Ellis whisper into her ear.

"Ellis! I've left it too long!" She hisses back in a hushed tone. Does she really think I can't hear her or something?

"Poppy." Her attention snaps back onto me. "Is there something that you're not telling me?"

"What?" She seems shocked, or maybe panicked that I've asked her that. "Why would you think that?"

"Because I've known you forever and I wasn't oblivious to whatever incognito exchange you just had with Ellis." Her eyes jot around almost like she's thinking of an excuse. "Seriously Poppy, whatever's going on, just tell me."

She takes a deep breath and exhales before looking me straight in the eyes. "I know as much as you do."

"Something tells me otherwise."

"Are you calling me a liar?" One of Poppy's eyebrows is raised.

"I know when you're not telling the truth." My tone is neutral and my face serious.

"If you're trying to lose everyone, you're going the right way about it, Kim." She gets up from our lunch table and makes her way over to where Jason and the others are sat.

"Erm, sorry." Ellis mutters slightly stunned before following after her.

I sit on my own and watch them all, Poppy looks up and makes eye contact with me, a solemn look on her face, before looking back across the table at Morgan, as if she doesn't even know me. I've never had an argument with Poppy before, does what just happened even constitute as one? I don't know. I feel a stinging sensation in my eyes, oh crap, I can't be one of those girls that cries in the cafeteria. My solution? I'll go be one of those girls that cries in the bathroom...
