"You slapped him?" Poppy squeals. "Now that's my girl." She high fives me, possibly one of the cheesier moments in our friend ship.

"So tell me about what happened when you went over to Ellis' house." Poppy grins.

"Well, it was so sweet he went out of his way to be gentlemanly." She plays with her thumbs.

"Like how?" I ask.

"He bought me a bouquet of roses!"

"No way!"

"Yeah, then he was saying things like, I know we started things off quickly but I want to take things slow and he didn't try to make any moves or try any funny business the entire night, he just cooked me dinner then we watched movies and stuff." She sighs with happiness.

"That's so great, Pop. I'm really happy for you." I smile.

Later after Poppy goes home and my dad is out working a night shift, I can hear shuffling downstairs. Oh my gosh. What if its a burglar? I shouldn't worry myself it's probably just Jason. I make my way cautiously along the landing and down stairs to see some teenagers waiting by the door. "What are you doing here?" I ask, dropping my guard.

"Um." 5 blank faces say in unison.

"Guys I found anothe-," Jason appears holding a torch in either hand. He looks at me and then at Morgan, Stephanie, Jess, Noah and Ellis.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

Jason looks as though he's trying to conjure a lie, but quickly gives in. "We're sneaking down to the beach." He says.

"You should come with us." Noah says.

"Do we really want a 12 year old to come?" Morgan rolls her eyes.

"Yeah were not babysitters." Jess adds.

"She's only a year younger than us." Ellis justifies.

"It's not like Kim's a baby, she can take care of herself. What's the harm?" Stephanie asks.

"Look, come or don't come, I don't care." Jason says shrugging his shoulders. "You have 5 minutes to be ready, no funny business." He nods in Noah's direction.

I go upstairs and put on a pair of jeans, an oversized plain white t-shirt and bomber jacket followed by slipping on my converse. "Ready." I say reaching the bottom of the stairs and joining the others.

"Have we got everything?" Ellis asks Jason.

"Yeah I think so." He says lifting a questionable cooler.

"Let's just go before we waste anymore time." Morgan groans and barges her way to the front door.

"It's not like we have all night." Jess adds.

"Yeah it is." Noah replies.

"Oh, right." Jess mumbles following Morgan out the door. Everyone leaves the house and Jason locks the front door behind him. I'm so curious as to what this night will entail. What's in the cooler? Will Morgan be bitchy all night? Is Noah glad I came with them? What's the situation with Jason and Stephanie? I guess I'll have to wait and see what the night brings...
