Spike's Family

ERMAHGERD!!!! Thank you guys so much for reading this far. I will be doing POVs now. And by the way, sorry for the delay. I've been at fair. HOPE YOU ENJOY CHAPTER 9!!!!!

After a few hours of riding on Spike's back, he smiled and said,"Sorry for the wait... Our tribe stays far away from those terrible creatures..."

Celeste tilted her head as they ran on. She then asked him,"if it's not too personal, may I ask what your tribe has to do with them?"

Spike sighed. "Well... For some reason I find it hard to lie to you... But our tribe and their tribe are in war... Mightyena come to our cave and try to ambush us and we do the same to them... My Papa almost died from a mightyena attack..." Spike said.

Spike's POV
I've never opened up to anyone like that.... I feel as if I can just naturally trust this Pokemon... Maybe I'm going through a weird phase or I'm just delusional but I feel something...different.

Celeste looked at him, surprised at how honest he was. "That explains it... But how do you do it?!? You must have to sleep with one eye open or something!" She says and giggles a bit.

He looked at her, amused. "Eh, they say that all Pokemon have their pride and they know that it wouldn't be fair to kill someone in their sleep," he said but then whispered,"but I still do. Just in case."

Celeste and Spike became friends easily. They found it easy to talk to each other. They laughed at each other's jokes and cried for each other's sorrows. They just...clicked.

Celeste's POV
Wow... I've never been around someone like this... I feel so comfortable. Like I've found another friend... Only this one will protect me...

About two hours later, Spike ran up to the entrance of a cave that looked similar to the mightyena cave. The same huge entrance, the same dark inside, in fact, there was only one thing different. The presence of the cave felt more welcome... It didn't feel dark and tense... It felt like home.

Spike entered the cave and waited for Celeste to follow. She trailed behind him, a bit nervous. But she knew that if Spike's family was as nice as him, she'd be fine.

They walked past dozens of absols who were all training or cooking or helping the tribe in some way. Celeste thought,'Wow... They all work together here just like a big family...'

Spike walked to the back of the cave and whispered,"My Papa is the Tribe leader so we stay in the back where it's most protected."

Celeste nodded, feeling even more safe. Spike stopped next to a section in the cave that was blocked off and they both fell silent.

Spike put one paw up to a certain stone on the cave wall. Then, the walls separated.

Celeste's POV
I'll admit, I'm a little nervous to meet Spike's parents... I mean, his dad is THE LEADER OF THE TRIBE!!! It's intimidating... But I'll do it for Spike. Who knows! Maybe this family will be just as good as the noiverns...

Celeste looked inside the room that had just been revealed. In the center of the room, on a floor made of marble, sat two very large, yet beautiful, mega absols.

"Mama Sol, Papa Sol, meet my new friend, Celeste. I rescued her from the mightyena," Spike said and bowed his head. Celeste saw Spike do this and did the same.

Papa Sol looked at the two and chuckled but then grew more serious as his "The mightyena, you say?! How are you still alive, Celeste?"

Celeste just looked at Spike and his father nodded. "Good job, son. We're proud of you," said Mama Sol and Papa Sol smiled.
"As for you, Celeste, you can stay with us for protection and possibly some training," Papa Sol said. At these words, Spike beamed.

"Great! We can become even better friends and train together! This is going to be so much fun!" Spike said excitedly.

Celeste's POV
Did my heart just skip a beat?! I mean, it's enough of an excitement that I'm welcome here, but Spike's excited that I'm staying?! Oh Arceus... This is gonna be great!

Mama Sol led Celeste out of the room and led her to another section of the cave with a bed and crystals everywhere. "Here's your room!" Mama Sol said with a smile,"I hope you like it! I'll let you get settled in." She then left the room.

Spike talked with his father back in his parents' room. "I'm very proud of you, son. She'll be a great one," Papa said and Spike blushed a bit at these words. "No Papa, it's not like that..." He muttered. The mega absol chuckled,"Whatever you say, son."
