We landed on a field of grass
We all stood up and brushed the grass off of our clothes
"Where are we?" Jim asked, lit looking around
"Somewhere safe, for now." I answered
"Where exactly is 'safe for now'?" Clieo asked
I sighed "Long island, New York. Earth."
"You took us to one of the federation's most known HQ?" Spock asked
I scowled "Yes. This is the only place i thought it wound be safe. Plus, we were being attacked, i had little time."
We walked around the field of grass until we saw a familiar blue farmhouse.
I smiled when i saw it
"What is this place?" Jin asked as we entered the house
"I used to live here." I answered, smiling sadly "When i was still on the run and went to the Academy for the first time. The first place i actually called home. An old farmhouse Shadow and i used to live in." Then, i realized i was talking to everyone. I cleared my throat "Um... Anyway, we might be here for a while until we figure out a plan. So, there are a few rooms upstairs. Go ahead. But don't go in my room."
Khan frowned "How do we know which is your room?"
"You'll know it when you see it." I answered
They all went upstairs and i went to the living room
I hailed Lexxa on my PADD updating her on what happened. I told her to be on standby for a while until we call back
I hailed Keith and told him we were staying in my old farmhouse for a while. He was relieved we were okay, plus, the damage we did was fixable
Later, i went up to my room.
I smiled. It was exactly like when i left it
My bed with blue sheets was still there. My closet was still full of my clothes and my old hockey stick i used to play with. The desk was still full of my notebooks, random pieces of machines were still there, a few of my pictures, and a few other stuff
I walked over to my closet and opened it
My clothes still looked like they would fit, so i changed
Now i wore a black T-shirt shirt inside a red flannel shirt, jeans, and my combat boots
Then, someone knocked at the door
"Hey," Jim said, peeking inside "we're waiting in the living room downstairs."
I sighed "Thanks, Jim. I'll be down in a minute."
He frowned and walked towards me "Hey, you okay?"
I nodded "Yeah. Just a bit tired from all the running." I let out a small laugh "I guess it's ironic since i've been running my whole life."
He put his arm around me "Don't worry about it. We'll get through this. We always do, remember?"
I smiled "Yeah. I guess."
Then, he smiled "After this is all over, we should take a break. Something to get our minds off this. When we finish this."
I smiled. That was what he said on Keith's coronation day. When he first asked me out
"Okay. Let's go. We can't keep the others waiting forever."
We walked downstairs
Clieo, Spock, and Khan were sitting on the couches in the living room
Jim and i sat down on an empty couch
"Any update on the Morphus?" Khan asked
"Not yet. But Lexxa said that she'll hail us when she and the crew gets something." I answered
"So, what do we do in the meantime?" Clieo asked
"We lay low. Make sure the federation doesn't find us." Jim said
Then, i heard a grumbling sound
I frowned "What was that?"
Jim's ears reddened "Sorry. That was me. I didn't realize until now that we haven't eaten the whole day."
"I honestly forgot." Spock said
I stood up "There are a few crops out in the field. Maybe i can make something."
"Hopefully it won't be as back as bad as Jim when he tried to make a cake for Spock's birthday." Clieo said
"That was horrible." Spock agreed "No offense, Jim."
Jim scowled "None taken."
I laughed and headed outside
~~~Dinner time~~~
"Wow." Clieo said taking a bite from her potatoes "This is, actually good."
I managed to cook mashed potatoes, salad, soup, and i bought some fried chicken
"Was there any doubt?" I asked, smirking
"Yes." Clieo, Spock, and Khan all said at once
I scowled "Fine. Then i can just take the food back-"
"No!" Jim shouted "Guys, shut up! I'm starving!"
We laughed
I enjoyed this. Just eating dinner with my friends like we're not being hunted down by the federation
Few moments later, while we were cleaning up, my PADD's beeper sounded
We quickly rushed to see what it was.
It was Lexxa and Nyota
I opened the communications channel and it played on the TV
It was split-screen. Lexxa on one side, and Nyota on the other
They weren't in the same place, just the same channel
Or that's what Nyota tells me
"Scarlett!" Lexxa said "We have news on the where about's of the Morphus."
"Where?" We all asked at the same time, including Nyota
"Kleossum." Lexxa answered "The trading planet."
"That planet is known for being a trading spot." Spock said "Many different species are found there."
I paled "Are you serious? The Morphus are there?"
Lexxa nodded "This time, we are positive they're there. They've been checking out different hacking materials, lately. Decryption codes, engine systems, and stuff like that."
"Then we have to go to Kleossum." Clieo said
"You can't." Nyota said
"Why not?" Jim asked
"Because we're in that quadrant." Nyota said "You can't be seen by Darren."
"Then we just won't get caught." I said "As simple as that."
Nyota sighed "Fine. But be careful. Good luck!"
Then, her message dissapeared
"I'll send you our coordinates." I told Lexxa "We beam in the morning."
She nodded and the call ended
It's gonna be a big day tommorow
