[Jim]
I couldn't believe this
The explosion... I just couldn't bring myself to believe it
She was gone
I lost her once already, the second time was even harder
The only thing left from the pod wreckage were parts, scraps, and Scarlett's body in the vast space
Drios fired a missile behind her and while she was chasing him, he was just distracting her
"No!" I shouted with rage
Drios and the others were getting away, but i didn't care.
I've already lost her once, i wasn't about to lose her again
"Kirk," Spock said, driving his pod next to mine "where is-"
Then he saw the wreckage
"Oh, no." He said
"Is she gone?" I asked
"No. At least not yet." Spock said "Her Lumenarian state can sustain her for a few more minutes out in space like that. But we have to go. The Enterprise will be here in a few minutes. We can get her once we get back."
I couldn't just leave her there.
Also, by the time we get back, it would be too late
"No." I said "I can't."
I looked around the pod and found a space helmet, jet boots, and a suit
I put it them on and opened the pod door
"Jim?" Spock asked through the communicator "What are you doing?"
I used the jet boots and floated towards the wreckage
Scarlett was just there, floating
She was unconscious. The star snapped scar on right palm was glowing red
That was never a good sign
I took her in my arms. She was breathing, and her heart was pumping. But barely
I had to get her some oxygen or at least out of space
I didn't think this thru. The both of us won't fit
This was a stupid plan I told myself
Then, out of the purple space, the Enterprise ship came into view
James Kirk Admiral Darren said the through the outer speaker. You and your company have been charged with crimes you have ran from. Surrender now, to prevent anymore bloodshed
I suddenly had the worst idea ever.
Daren, I said into the communicator.
Fine. You've caught me. Two to beam up. But get a medical team there, now
He hesitated for a while, then he said
Alright, Kirk, Fine. You'll be beamed in a while. Stay where you are.
Hurry up! I said
I looked at Scarlett. Her pulse was getting weaker and weaker at the moment
Don't die. I thought. Don't die on me now, please. I can't loose you, not now, not ever
Then, orange rays surrounded both of us
We were beamed on the ship
"Welcome back, Kirk." Daren spat with a smug look on his face
"Medic." I said "Now."
Bones came rushing in with a med kit
"Hey, Jim." Bones said, absently
He put a scanned Scarlett with a tri corder. His expression turned grim
"Her pulse has slowed down a lot. She's barely alive." Bones said "She needs to go to the Med bay, now!"
He rushed Scarlett to the Med bay
"And now for you, Kirk." Daren said "Bring him to the holding bay."
I was ushered to a holding cell and locked inside
I pounded my fist on the glass wall, angrily
Worst day, ever
