Hi! Thank you to Freeyourglee and Alquila for commenting (One cuddle coming up). I also want to thank all the readers and voters. The story couldn't have turned out the way it is without you guys. Disclaimer: I don't own Glee, or the song. It's called invincible by Hedley. The lyrics is from http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/hedley/invincible.html.
"Blaine, do you want to take a break? We don't have to go to breadstix. I assure you we can wait a few days, besides, I feel like you're going to fall over if I let you go." said Kurt.
When they arrived, Blaine- whom was barely conscious- tumbled out of the car. If Kurt hadn't caught him, Blaine would have hit tripped over his own shoes. It wasn't then till Kurt realized just how much Blaine sacrificed in the last two days to stay with him. Then he wondered whether he would have done the same. And why. Why would Blaine do something like that for him.
He used to think that he could only rely on himself, but he is really beginning to think otherwise.
Blaine's weight lifted off Kurt as Blaine jumped away. Obviously because he thought he was hurting Kurt.
"I can stand. I don't want you to miss the celebration, and I really wouldn't miss the chance of more food." said Blaine. But Kurt knew that even through Blaine's hunger, the said boy would rather sleep. He also knew that Blaine wasn't going to do that because he didn't want Kurt to miss the celebration. The thought made Kurt smile, but worried him.
"Blaine, it's breadstix. Their food is greasy and full of unwanted carbs. " said Kurt.
"Kurt, you look...f-fine." said Blaine weakly before fainting. Kurt reached out to catch him and held on.
"Oh boy. " said Kurt. "No no, I suppose that going to breadstix would be a no."
With the help of Burt, who had predicted that Blaine's exhaustion cause him to stay awake, they carried Blaine to the living room. Kurt made sure that Blaine was well cared for before sitting beside him on the couch (Burt's rule). Kurt looked at Blaine and a thousand things flashed into his head.
Blaine was so much to him. He had taught him that he could rely on people. Kurt realized that the world was not full of bullies and hater's. Because of Blaine, he realized that he had a friend. Blaine was the reason he had courage. Kurt begin to sing hum softly.
Kurt nodded, because he didn't know what to say to that. He realized that Blaine was awake and turned to him. "Did I wake you up?"
"I chose to wake up."
"Because I was singing." said Kurt guiltily.
"Because you were singing." said Blaine, but he was happy.
Then again. The texts come at the worst of times. Sure enough, Kurt's phone buzzed.
He didn't realize until he picked it up.
I am not lying. Ladyface.
For some reason -even though he knew the hidden threat- he wasn't scared. He didn't even care anymore. He was with Blaine, and he's been through so much, even something like this can't knock him down. He did something he never thought he wouldn've done. He texted back.
Bring it on, meatheads. The worse you can do is kill me.
Kurt threw his phone aside and continued his conversation with Blaine like nothing happened. It's been such a long time since.
Of course, Though he knew that it wasn't going to last long. He understood the implications of texting back, but he's tired of hiding from them. Azmio can say what ever he wants when he finds him. Oh, Kurt knows he's not going down without a fight, even if his chances aren't high.
