Kurt stood in front of the room, which suddenly seemed really intimidating to him. What am I doing again? Oh yeah, auditioning. Kurt was worried now about Blaine's reaction to the lyrics. He was able to relate to it, but he didn't know if Blaine would. What if he decided that it would be awkward to him to the dance? Kurt bit his lip before noticing Blaine's reassuring smile, which made him ten fold more nervous.
The music began to play and Kurt started to sing.
"I was feeling the night grow old, and you were looking so cold
Like an introvert, I drew my overshirt
Around my arms and began to shiver violently
Before you happened to look and see the tunnels all around me
Running into the dark underground
All the subways around create a great sound
To my motion fatigue, farewell
With your ear to a seashell
You can hear the waves in underwater caves
As if you actually were inside a Saltwater Room "
Kurt began to relax into the song. Singing comes naturally to him, and he was able to pour his heart out in the song, even when he was scared of that. He looked over to see Blaine began to sing.
"Time together is just never quite enough
When you and I are alone, I’ve never felt so at home
What will it take to make or break this into love?

Blaine sang really well. There was emotion in the song though. Kurt looked over. Blaine looked at Kurt and smiled, feeling a strange emotion. He didn't know what it was, but Kurt seemed to be the source of it.
"When we're apart whatever are you thinking of?
If this is what I call home, why does it feel so alone?
So tell me darling, do you wish we'd fall in love?
All the time, all the time"
The song was sad, but it was meaningful and beautiful when Kurt sang it. Blaine began to think about the lyrics and what it means for them.
"Can you believe that the crew has gone?
And they wouldn't let me sign on.
All my islands have sunk in the deep
So I can hardly relax or even oversleep"
It reminded Kurt of when he was in Mckinley. No body cared. Blaine saved him then.
"I feel as if i were home some nights,
When we cut off the ship lights
I guess I'll never know, why sparrows love the snow
We'll turn off all of the lights, and set this ballroom aglow"
Blaine sang this part, knowing that Kurt made everything seem okay.
"So tell me darling do you wish we’d fall in love?
All the time"
Kurt sang, watching Blaine, who was looking back at him. They were singing to eachother.
(Blaine) Time together is just never quite enough
(Kurt) When you and I are alone I’ve never felt so at home
(Blaine)What will it take to make or break this into love?
"Only time, only time " Blaine sang.
Oh how Kurt wish that he didn't feel like he actually didn't have that much time.
(Kurt) When we’re apart what ever are you thinking of?
