Elena's POV
I bit my lip. Katherine? Here? Didn't that girl get tired of ruining my life sometimes?
Stefan slammed his hand down on the table angrily.
"Hey." I said soothingly, placing my hands on his back.
"It's okay."
"You don't get it!" he said, turning his back to me.
"She tricks me so easily!"
"I know..." I said quietly.
"But she's good. She tricks people. That's what she does."
He closed his eyes.
"Okay, Elena. What are we going to do about her?"
I stayed silent. Honestly, I had no idea.Katherine's POV
They knew. The little bitch figured it out. I saw them scanning the room for me.
"Damn it!" I said. A few people turned and looked me.
I rolled my eyes and turned away. I had to get out of here. I was pissed. I didn't even get my dance with Stefan.
I made my way out quickly, avoiding all of Elena's perky friends.
A few annoying "Hi Elena!"'s later, I was on my way out the door and down the stairs. I was desperate to get out, so I walked quicker.
"Hi, Elena!" A girl said.
"Hi!" I said perkily.
I walked away from her, gritting my teeth. Why did my doppelgänger have to have so many friends?
A few steps later, I heard her say,
"Elena? Didn't I just see you back there?"
"Shit." I muttered under my breath. I heard Stefan compel the girl, and not caring anymore, I sped towards the exit. But something was blocking it off.
"No!" I cried. An invisible barrier was blocking my way.
"Katherine! You're not getting away this time." Elena said behind me.
I pursed my lips and turned around slowly.
"Elena Gilbert." I said, smirking.
"And how is my little doppelgänger doing today?"
Stefan showed up behind Elena.
"Stefan!" I smiled.
"How are you?"
"Stop playing games, Katherine." Stefan said.
"Games?" I replied innocently.
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
Elena grabbed Stefan's arm protectively.
"Look, Katherine, we aren't going to fight you-"
"Smart move." I cut in.
"-but you should leave." Stefan continued.
"I'm not done having fun yet!" I said, laughing slightly. I looked Elena straight in the eyes.
"I'm not done getting rid of all my enemies."
Elena shivered, and Stefan started to lead her out, but they stopped suddenly.
"Oh, and did I fail to mention? There's a magical barrier and we can't get out."
Elena and Stefan looked at each other worriedly.Elena's POV
Katherine stood there, smirking. I didn't understand how she could keep such a cool demeanor. After all, she was trapped here too.
A figure approached us from the distance. I strained my eyes to see who it was, and I could see Katherine and Stefan trying to see too.
As the figure came closer, I could make out long hair, and a small figure. As the person's face came into the light, I gasped.
"Bonnie! Thank god you're here!" I gushed.
"There's some portal up, can you get it down?"
She shook her head.
"What?" Why?" I asked.
"I'm sorry, Elena." she replied.
As she spoke, other figures were coming from the distance. They were chanting words I couldn't understand.
"Freaking witches." Katherine muttered under her breath.
"The witches explained it all to me. They can't have you two here." Bonnie gestured to Katherine and I.
"They think you're a danger."
"What?" Katherine exclaimed.
The chanting reached my ears, and suddenly, a pounding headache came onto me. Katherine and Stefan too were now falling onto the floor, holding their heads in pain.
"No one can hear anything outside, correct?"
One of the witches said to Bonnie. She shook her head.
"Bonnie... Please." I said to her, tears filling in my eyes. Another sharp pound filled my head, and I groaned.
"Inject them with these. Anesthetic mixed with vervain." said the same witch to Bonnie.
She nodded and walked over to Katherine first, who was holding her temples in order to subdue the pain. Bonnie stabbed in in the arm with the needle without hesitation. Katherine collapsed on the floor, eyes shut.
She did the same to Stefan, and then walked over to me.
"Bonnie... What are they going to do?" I said. My voice was barely a whisper.
She shook her head again, and stabbed me in the arm with the needle. As blackness began taking over my eyes, I screamed.
And the world was gone before my eyes.No one's POV
The witches dragged Katherine and Elena through the woods, Bonnie following close behind, filled with regret. They put both the girls in the tomb, sealing it off with a special spell. At the dance, Stefan, who was just collateral damage, woke up alone outside Mystic Falls High, without any recollection of where the doppelgängers had gone.Whoo! That took forever to write!
