Val's POV:
Today its really hot out, so momma helped me set up a lemonade stand with my best friend Jenna! We sat outside and waited for people. An old man walked up.
"Would you like some?" Jenna asked him.
"Sure dearie. How much?"
"Twenty-five cents."
"How about I give you a dollar," he winked.
"Oh thank you!"
I poured him a glass and handed it to him. "I hope you like it."
"Thank you, sonnie," he said and kept going on his walk. A few more cars drove by, but no one stopped. Jenna was getting upset.
"Jj, what's wrong?"
"No one like our lemonade."
"The old man did."
"But no one else come."
"Im sorry," I gave her a hug.
"Do you think they not like me?" She started to cry.
"No! Everyone likes you. Especially me, I really like you."
"Really?"
"Yeah I love you." she smiled.
"Lets go inside," I said and held her hand. We sat in a chair and looked at a book for a while.
"Jenna, I'm strong."
"I bet I'm stronger!"
"Nuh uh!"
"Well can you pick me up like you would a baby?"
"Lets see," she put her arms around my neck and I lifted her up.
"Wow, you are strong!" She leaned over and kissed my cheek.
"What that for?"
"I wanted to."
"Why?"
"Because."
"Because why!?"
"Because, when a girl likes a boy, she kisses him."
"Oh. I didn't know that." I put her down.
"And if the boy likes the girl, he kisses her too."
"Ok!" I got closer and kissed her lips. Her cheeks turned red.
"I liked that!" she laughed.
"Yeah, I did too."
