Val's POV:
Season 18 has been great so far. We got a new troupe member, Jenna, and she's extremely talented. Not to mention beautiful also. I search for and find Witney after practice.
"Hey, you know that Jenna girl well, right?"
"Yeah, she's my roommate."
"Can you give me her number?"
"Why?" she smirked at me.
"Because she's cute, and I want to get to know her."
"Alright fine, she said texting me her contact."
"Thank Wit, you rock," I kissed her cheek.
"Now go home and text that girl," she said shooing me out of the studio.
I drove home quickly and changed out of my dirty clothes into some clean ones. I got comfortable on the couch, and put on Modern Family. I pulled out my phone, and clicked 'nee message' and put in her contact. I typed 'Hey it's Val from dancing with the stars' and sent it.
Jenna: Hi Val! What are you texting for?
Val: Just wanted to see how you were liking the show.
Jenna: awe, that's so sweet of you to ask! it's been a lot of fun, everyone is so kind, it's like a big family.
Val: it really is.
Jenna: just asking, but how did you get my number?
Val: oh, Witney gave it to me.
Jenna: ah, okay.
Val: hey, so you wanna come over and hang?
Jenna: sure! that sounds fun ☺️
Val: ok, see ya soon!
I texted her my address and went to change into less sloppy clothing. I put on dark wash jeans and a black t-shirt. I decided not to gel my hair, and leave it curly. I heard a knock at the door and ran to go get it. I opened it, and Jenna was there.
"Hi Jenna," I smiled and ran a hand through my hair.
"Hey Val," she said and I led her in.
"You wanna just watch something on Netflix?"
"Sure!"
"What would you like?"
"Can we watch a horror movie?"
"Um sure." I honestly hate scary movies, but if that's what she wants, then I'll do it. I go and find Indigenous (i think that's how you spell it 😂) and press play. We both get comfortable on the couch. The movie starts and I start to get nervous. She must've noticed, because she moved closer to me, and put her arm around me. The movie was getting really intense, so I held onto her. I got freaked out, and hid my face in her neck, and she laughed a little.
"Val, you ok?" She smiled pausing the movie.
"Yeah I'm good," I said letting go of her and acting tough.
"Really? It sure doesn't seem like it."
"Ok to be honest, horror movies scare the crap out of me."
"We didn't have to watch it baby!"
Dang, I like it when she calls me that.
"I wanted to make you happy."
"Awww, Witney and Lindsay were right, you are a sweetheart," he wrapped her arms around me and hugged me. I started blushing.
"Why the pink cheeks?" She giggled.
"Oh um, uh..."
"Oh um, uh...what?"
"I have a really big crush on you," I mumbled.
"Speak up, honey."
"I have a really big crush on you."
"Awe, baby," she moved in closer. "Guess what?"
"What?" I whispered, inches away from her lips.
"I have a crush on you too," she whispered before leaning in, and pressing her soft lips on mine.
"So..you wanna go out sometime?" I asked once we parted.
"Definitely."
